Quick Question, can an incumbent mayor somehow drop out of a contested mayoral race? If for instance a politician no longer wants to be mayor of a particular city and someone else is running, can the existing incumbent mayor drop out?

And they said cross server trades will make ghost towns, yet there are cities where nobody logs in?

As for dropping out, get a deed ready, give to new mayor, you drop out,Quit, destroy city hall, wich ever,and he place, and good luck beating the macro-mayors=)

You don't have boards or something where you could just leave everyone a message? (Of course I don't see the point of having a town anyways if no one is using it . . . . )

Let's not jump to conclusions. It's one thing to say no one is using a town or it's a ghost town, and another thing all together if a few people may have taken some thanksgiving time and aren't logging in to vote since they didn't know they had to.

When you said that people weren't logging in, what the heck do you WANT people to think? If its a matter of people just not logging in for the holiday, what is the problem? It wouldn't update until next Friday anyways, so just catch them when they return and tell them to vote for the other. Or *gasp* use "citizens" to send them all an e-mail.

I don't WANT people to think anything. And you're **edit** right I'm touchy. Other politicians slandering our city in public without knowing the facts IS a touchy thing. This just came up today. We have 30 residents. You tell me all 30 of them don't log in today and somehow our city is a WASTE? That's bull**edit**! I sent the email, I used the board, and the update is in 8 hours. This is a minor last minute change and I simply wondered if there was a withdraw option. YOU all assume somehow we're WASTING a city.

No, I'm saying that generally people come to the boards after they have tried other options to solve their problem. If you say people aren't logging in, it makes it sound like the problem is really that they are not logging in so you cannot resign legitimately to the new mayor using the understood game mechanics, not that you can't drop out instantly. Now how about settling down and just taking it as a misunderstanding?
