I've been a Politician for a 3 weeks now, I was ok with being mayor for the first couple of weeks, but now I'm really starting to dislike it. I feel as though now I have no time for fun anymore because with 55 citizens in a city, you can only imagine what kind of responsibilities I have "Rapture do this....Rapture do that...Rapture we need you!!!". I understand that it was my fault from the begining for selecting to be mayor, but I didn't realise it could've turned out this bad.

As I said before I don't have time to have fun in this game anymore. I've literally became depressed because I'm so limited on what I can do because so many people demand much from me. I was originally going to appoint a new mayor for my city, but do to the lack of cooperation of the citizens in my city, he didn't get enough votes. Now I feel as though I'm forced to be mayor forever and I can't do anything about it. If I were to quit being Mayor and drop Politcian, then the whole city suffers of starting over all over again, and I don't want that to happen. I would get another account, but I can't afford one at the moment. I'd like to be able to have another character on my server, but we're limited to one.

I suggest that something be done soon, because I'm cowering at the fact that I practically have a career in a video game that I have ti fulfill or else I am hate by much of my friends. I only hope they add an extra character slot soon, or they allow you to drop being mayor until someone picks up after you.

Ok, if the videogame is depressing you, my suggestion is to turn off the computer, go outside, and do something else. It's a game man......it's just a bunch of different colored lights coming out of your computer screen. It's not supposed to depress you. Get a life...............

What you don't understand is the fact that I'm in a multigaming guild and friends with much of the people in it. If I quit, the whole city goes away thus resulting making a lot of people very angry. I only ask that we should recieve a second character slot or give the Politican and ability to transfer mayormanship.

Personally I love the life of mayor we have over 80 members. My advise to you is delegate your authority. Militia can take care of /warn and /ban when your not around. As far as placement of things this will slow down after you max your XP (and the city gowns to max size) so the busy times you see now will not be so in about a month.

Look buddy, mayor was optional. You didn't HAVE to do it. It's just like that wookies and armor thing awhile ago. Don't complain you can't wear armor, nobody forced you to be a wookie. Likewise, don't complain to us that the videogame is ruining your life. Nobody is forcing you to play it.

jediphycho, you dont always know what you are getting into. for wookiees, we all thought that we would be really strong and good fighters. we heard that armor was not going to be a big deal. we were told wrong. He probably thought, "wow it would be fun to be the mayor of a city and i could have fun and such" but in his veiw it is not fun, and either he should quit (the profession or the game) or the DEVS should make it a more fun profession. please just because you were not unlucky enough to be a wookiee or a polition in his case doesnt mean that you can scold anyone who was misinformed. they CHOSE it on the given info and that was not good info.

when your profession gets nerfed to hell (or already is) you try to change it for the better. This is what he is trying to do, and what wookiees are trying to do.

Armor was never intended to sway combat to the extent that it has, just as blasters were never thought they could do as much damage as they do (as evidenced by beta). Therefore this IS something that needs to be balanced, though this is the improper place to debate it.

Otherwise, I know what you're talking about. You don't want to let all your friends down but you also want to get out and explore. It's tough man, but you have to figure out what you want to do and either your friends will understand that or they won't. Don't make yourself unhappy over a game.

Welcome to the real world

Alright so here is what you do....

Get some help, yeah I have a city council, they handle everything for me for the most part when I can't get to it. Everyone knows that polticians want to have fun too, and thus many people in my city are willing to help out with tasks, like getting people moved in and such, I just walked them through every part of the city and put up a display they could reference and whalla so much pressure removed.

So I take it a Wookie politician is REALLY screwed from any fun.

So I ask once again, what would happen if I dropped novice politican while i am mayor?
