Thread: kicking citizen out
I've been in similar situations... there's nothing much you can do
I like the idea of a warning..
I have read in other threads the idea of the warning granting the citizen one or two weeks to move before there house poofs.
That would be fair I think...

well, technically you can't cityban a citizen (never tried, so i can't confirm it), so i'm guessing that's what he wants to do.
Nope, can't cityban a citizen. I had a citizen volunteered to be my guinea pig for this experiment.

He used the 24 hour period to grind his way to Rebel, and then laid a Rebel Medical center in the middle of town. The guy must have spent 2-3 weeks as a recruit. Now, our prosperous Imperial Town Can't get rid of the dang thing.
I usually have myself or a member of the militia oversee structure placement, and immediately revoke zoning rights unless it's someone I know I can trust absolutely (ie I know where to hunt them down if things go wrong)
While I haven't experienced this problem first hand, I can try to add my two credits.
From what I've seen, the turnover rate of even the good citizens is so high, that it's best to just ride out the wave. Don't give this troublesome person any attention, because this is what they want. Add them to the ignore list and send out mail to your other citizens to do the same.
I am defining "troublesome person" as someone who generally disrupts the majority or entire town. This isn't defined as someone who just personally rubs the mayor the wrong way. As your city grows, you can't expect to get along with everyone mightily.
Take the high road whenever possible, and always keep the best interest of your citizens in mind. It's your responsibility. If we, as a politician community, can prove ourselves to be a mature and sensible lot, the developers may look kindly and grant to us powers to be used responsibly against the true "troublesome persons" out there.
Otherwise, are we not troublesome ourselves?

I had a similar problem with a squatter who set down his house when the city was still young.
He would change his house name to berate the city, guilds ect... Run vendors from his house against city policy, and was a general nuisance.
What I did was basically set a row of statues in front of his house. Not to block entry, but just to cover it up. Each statue was named in honor of this persons shortcomingsNeedless to say, he moved a short time later.
As long as this is really not used to grief by blocking access or by bad names on statues this seems the best way to deal with such individuals.
