I haven't been told by Thunderheart to post this thread, so if I'm not doing this the way he wants it done for some reason, blame me.

But I do want to leave him with a list of potential replacements for the Politician Correspondent, and although I'm not in any way short on names of people who have made great ongoing contributions to this forum, I don't know who would want the job and I would also like to hear from the group a list of names that they think would be great, to see if that list jibes with the one in my head.

So, here's what you do:

1. If you know you would make a great correspondent and have confidence that the masses would embrace your arrival as the new correspondent with jubilation, then feel free to add your own name here.

2. If you have someone in mind that you think of as a leader of this politician community, someone who you would like to see representing you to Thunderheart and the devs, please add their name here.

3.If you felt that you would make a great correspondent, but were holding back from applying because you weren't so sure about how well the masses would embrace you, then saw your name listed twenty-seven times as a nominee by others and would now like to accept that nomination, please do so here.

I'll submit names to Thunderheart at the end of the week, and he can continue on with however he would like to do the application process. This thread isn't for him or requested by him, its for me so that I can make a good list of recommendations as my last act as your correspondent. Feel free to add a short sentence or two about yourself and why you want to be correspondent, but not a long essay or autobiography, please.

I think the people would embrace me

I hate being the first to post this (make me feel egotistical) but I'm a dedicated politician not holo grinding and do a lot of mayoral stuff....

I feel I can do the job as long the masses loves me.

Number 1 Nomination : Holocron

Number 2 Nomination : Q - 3PO

Number 3 Nomination : Thunderheart

I think any one of the top three has a good chance of being heard by the developers and I believe that they will be able to speed things up and get things done. Having said that I know they are to shy to post their own nomination and also that they have been invisible on this forum for a very long time. I am sure though that if given the chance to represent us they would do as good a job as they could.

Apart from those three I guess anyone who realy wants the Job can have it. Its not like people are pushing each other out of the way. The General Public do not feel the correspondants are having any real influance with developmental issues for any professions and the fact that so few will put their hand up for such a job is a direct result of that impression.

Whoever ends up being the correspondant I am sure they will do as fine a job as they can given the obvious to all limitations placed upon them.

Goodluck in the future Bajeezus. I wish you and your family all the best in the years ahead. Who knows maybe you will be back by the 10th expansion. I hear they already have a name for it. "This time we realy, realy, realy, realy, realy, realy are going to implement the things asked for by the correspondants before the 1st expansion."

Cant wait sounds promissing.

I am interested in the Politician Correspondent position.

I have 1 year of experience administrating an online forum/community, 4 years of real-world software development experience, and the ability to communicate clearly and concisely.

Lastly, I have a lot of ideas about what could be done to allow cities to better administrate themselves, and a strong desire to make better tools available (in and out of game) for mayors and SWG communities.

( I have refrained from asking supporters to come into this thread or forum and voice support. Iwish my actions, devotion and contributions to be weighedon thier own, however for references please checkwww.swg-elysium.comto view an example of my service record, I have been admin there for over a year.)

Certainly, being a recognized name is not a prerequisite for the job, and if you think that you will do a great job and become embraced by the community here for doing so, you should feel free to put your name in. I'll be glad to forward your name to Thunderheart.

hehe, I think to have another TGIer in, they'll have to kick another one out O.o however, I am from another guild with a few current/ex corrs

For the record I only play a mayor (with my single account)... and in fact I have no other charcters on other servers that I play on...

I'm just a mayor 24/7...

I'd like to volunteer for the job. Why? As the poster above mentioned, I have only one account, and I am a full-time mayor. I have never considered giving up the job and I am really looking forward to improvements to our profession.

I have been playing the game since launch, and my city was founded in the second wave. I have been the mayor since the beginning and have won 99% of the votes.
