Thread: broken citizens email

Last week for my weekly city email blast, I noticed that it didn't work... figured ok, no biggie, I'll just do guild this one time and it would get 95% of my folks. Submitted a bug report
This week, same thing... can't email my citizens and no response on the bug report.
Now I could track down a CSR and ask, but I'm sure I will just be told to file a bug report (kinda like I did with sales tax over the last few months repeatedly).
When are our bugs in the cities going to be addressed? I know they added some changes for maintenance and changed up our politicians a bit, but before anymore enhancements go in, can we not get our bugs fixed? I mean, come-on, the sales tax bug has been around for a while, and we have to manually keep the city coffers filled.
Please, please fix a few of this bugs.
I rely heavily on email to keep my citizens informed and involved.

I've had reports of citizens email not working, and it seems to be from newer mayors. it does work for most of the politicians, and /bugging it helps

I just jumped here to see if I wasn't the only one. Hopefully they fix it...now that I have to remind everyone to vote, it would help if I could remind them.

*cough* i know about guild mail.... but there is citizen mail, is it just citizen?

its just citizens in the TO: line.....mine has been workin great for once

I am one of the New Mayors and the citizen email was working for me up until recently. I just tried to send out an email about 2 days ago and it went no where. So have gone to using Guild mail to get message out since majority of citizens are from Guild anyway.

As a newer Mayor on Test Center, I saw that I do not have this ability. I bugged it, and worked with QA to try and figure it out.
After multiple mayor switches (including to the QA member, and my younger brother) only my account was unable to send the mails.
Please bug this on all of your servers and describe your circumstances. Otherwise it will take much longer to get this corrected.

Grrrr
This sucks, because there are now two guilds as well as a handfull of unguilded members in my city. I hate being required to have them all added to my friends list as an easy way to send out city wide emails.

this issue has been hotfixed on TC, and should be pushed onto live either as a hotfix or with the next publish

And its working for me now, so it seems to have corrected the issue
(I wonder how long it'll take Pappi to tell me to leave her forum
