What is the advantage of being mayor, ZILCH, NONE, ZERO, soif its gonna cost skill points, then give us a salary, like
outpost: 0k a week
villiage: 5k a week
Town: 10k a week
City: 17k a week
Metropolis: 25k a week
Anyway sign here if you want mayors to stay poloticions

There's nothing stopping you from doing this already. As mayor you have the power to withdraw money from your city treasury (up to 50k creds a day). Just inform your citizens as to why you're doing it.

I have some troubles keeping the balance for the city treasure so withdrawing from it wouldn't be an option at the moment. I'm novice politician, master medic (if i get the ap xp), scout 3/0/3/0 also have rifles II and entertainer 0/0/2/2. The rifles and entertainer will be dropped if i need the skillpoints for doctor and politician. I'm mayor of an outpost at the moment and can't set up taxes yet (hope it will change soon). But I agree if you inform your citizens why you are withdrawing money out of the treasury there is no problem.

Even if they took the money sinks in town and gave it to us. That would be in measure to how popular our city is. More active cities have better paid mayors.

Of all the things that need to be fixed in the politician class, this one seems so minor. For the record, I do not "pilfer" our city treasury to pay myself. There is so little that I am able to do with this class that I don't feel my services (what little I am able to provide) warrant earning any kind of pay. If the class included things that took up more of my time, like some way to actually do city planning without having to resort to a third-party tool (which as cool as it is, has no way of accounting for my city's unique geological features which present the biggest challenge in building in my city), or some system of planetary politics I could participate in, or....anything that would make me feel like something more than a glorified janitorfor my city (and I'm not even that, I can't do anything to the houses of inactive citizens), then maybe I would consider taking a paycheck.
Why add features to the class that are redundant to things we can already do when there are SO MANY things (there have been hundreds of very good suggestions on this board) that could be added that we can't do yet?
Because the issue is still that this is the only profession where everyone says where is your money coming from?
because this profession is not self sufficient on it's own.
A very valid question but as a fellow taxpayer and the literal founder of my own city (20 million invested in its construction and prolonged life).
I find the fact that of all the professions this is the only one that lacks any benefit to master, provides little use to what we actualy do, we are removed to a state of glorified engineers as we actually place structures for the city etc. But basically we lack any way of making our own money. Politician based missions with factional relations resulting form the outcome of the mission would be great etc... a monitary reward. If i as a politician make money in my city and pay taxes just like everyone else then why is it a problem if i take money? it is not but still it is the appearance of a thing that can make things look bad correct me if i am wrong. If something appears to a new citizen that the mayor is self indulgent on their loss of a few credits (yes greed is a major issue in life that extends to this game hence ninja looting and credit duping, theft etc) tehy can cause a stir that causes problems no that that is an issue for me but it can cause much needed problems early on or later on for someone else. I hate taking money and having to explint to people why i did. Especially since i paid the same amount of tax as everyone.
We should at least have some way of making money, besides being creative or having to write a check and balance for every thing we do.
The previous comment was a joke mate not intended to be at all a qustion about your character as a mayor.

Give us a detailed Tax-Tabel first, before we start with stuff that can already be done ingame

The ONLY reason to remain mayor is not to become uberl33t or richit isto dedicate your time to the citizens selflessly without need or want. You are there for your city not for yourself. If you take on mayor thinking you will be all powerfull and rich then you should step down now befor you are dissapointed or worse hated by your citizens because you think your all that. You are the Mayor you are a benefit to your people they are not a benefit to you. I love being mayor. I walk around the city and know my city like the back of my hand. I did not create the city I am mayor of. I took over after our mayor had to leave the game. My experience as mayor has been so rewarding. I would pay to be mayor. Currently I am working on getting my city to be tax free.
