Thread: our next 19 question topic?
I trust you guys to not start beating each other/me/the devs up with anything, and I'll check back often
- Master level abilities
- detailed city finances report
- In Concept thread for /citywarn
- /cityfine
- some way to have some control over structures that are left in the middle of the city with 1 million maint surplus and hence will never decay and will take up valuable space forever
- In Development thread for Player City Missions
- ability to place a usage fee on the cloning terminal
- ability to toggle city tax immunity for all citizens
- can we get a city mall?
"Apart from the GCW revamp are there any changes planned for our profession til JTL?"
Well, I think TH has given in his last answer: NO!!!
And I am not really interested atm to ask what is planned after it, because no one knows when this after it will be...
And I am quite sure that they will have to fix enough which is corellated to it. So if they have not the resources to do it before it, then they will also have no right after JTL...
well there are several things on my mind concerning the bugs and enhancement but i guess there s just one question i d like to ask them
"Why should we ask you questions when the only answer we ll hear is that you are not doing anything before the release of JTL, and surely not within the first months after its release, till it s on a bug level that is playable?"
Why?
cause TH said that the dev who observes the cities is in the JTL team so he is busy with JTL and not giving us anything till it s released
Check THs last 19 answer post, his general answers have been:
NO
NEVER
Maybe we ll think about it after JTL
- Mayor Title change to Mayor of "Insert City Name Here" - would definetly like to see this one happen.
- Increase the cap for decorations at all city levels.
- Allow for placement of at least small gardens at Novice level.
- Allow for mayor to assign/dismiss one or two assistants that would have the ability to give zoning right, place/remove decorations, and place city structures while also gaining 1/2 the amount of experience points into politician (500 xp for every declared citizen).
- Add City Shopping Mall - 150k weekly maintenance paid by city treasury, 25 vendor cap, 5k weekly debt per vendor to the city treasury.
- Recycling Center - 100k weekly maintenance paid by city treasury, reduces rate of maintenance to all buildings within the city.
- Militia HQ - 35k weekly maintenance paid by city treasury, 250 storage, increases boundary range of city for purposes of removing spawning of NPC encounters near the city (in other words, keeps the aggro baddies a bit farther away from the city).
I definetly like the whole neutral city declaration "non-faction pvp thing they are working on"
Immortum DeLanis, Mjolnir Mayor, Tatooine, Shadowfire
err...typo, I meant 50 xp for every citizen

the 19 questions is not a "request" list, a feature request would probably give you the familiar answer "after JTL when GreenMarine returns to work on politician" (unless it can be easily implemented, which is not for us to decide), which will result in more non-positive posts.
try to keep this in mind when you post

Whyare the master politician abilities still broken, whenthey broke sometime around publish 6 and when if ever are they going to fix it? Throwus a frikenbone here.....(Note** "After JTLS" is not a vaild answer(hire another dev if needed), and "We are looking into this and will fix it in the future(again not a valid answer) give us something more concrete....
That's one of many questions... but first and foremost on my mind today.
PS
SOE FIX THE FORUMS!!!!
My number 1 issue a a non-mayor (but someone who does a lot of work behind the scenes) is correct display of city costs and extra information.
First of all correct the city terminal tab that shows the taxes as it does not include the new Garage tax and it should. It is misleading to citizens at the moment.
If they don't want to code to send a weekly mail to mayors regarding details incomes and expenditures, at least set up some new queries in the database to extract the data we want and add it to the existing city terminal. Anything else can always come later.
Fix the sales bug so we DO get all the monies we should for the city.
I could go on but you see where I am going with this. I don't think it is a feature request so much as a bug fix of things that should have been correctly implemented in the first place.

Here are the ten questions that were submitted to Thunderheart. I will post the answers here when I get them.
1. Is the militia going to become useful again? My city is Imperial and overt Rebels can come into the city and spam comments and not much we can do except /cityban and run to a nearby base and go overt. Then run back to town.
2. When can we expect to get roads, bridges, pavement, terrain surface options, flattening of terrain, walls... ...?
3. Will we ever be able to find out the owner of a structure by doing an examine on it?
4. Do the devs intend to implement something to allow resigning and or transfering mayor peacefully?
5. Are the current city caps more or less dead set or will they ever be raised at sometime in the unforseeable future?
6. Will we ever get a permanent city chat channel (same as a guild chat channel--anyone who is a citizen of that city joins that channel as soon as they log in--no one has to create the channel on a daily basis)?
7. Any thoughts on Bazaars? [for player cities]
8. Where are the Bio-Engineer trainers and the SpyNet Ops?
9. Will you ever discount street lamps as a decoration so we can place more, or at least expand the decoration limit?
10. Will player cities be able to be factionally aligned, play a larger role in their factions?
But I am unsure what we want to do in this thread now? Are we to submit new questions? Are we supposed to vote on Bajeezus original questions? Or are we supposed to vote on the "new" questions from this thread that some (very few) people aready voted on (again the bold already asked - here the Faction NPC is to be developed in the GCW Revamp - so partly answered in the first question about faction cities):

This would tend to indicate that "Raising city cap, and removing city growth limits" is the burning question on the minds of the Politician community.
So the latest Count (assuming that everyone gets one vote... as there is only one question that may be decided upon by the whole group)
- Benefits at master politician - "Industrial Society" and "Scientific Society", where did they go?
- 4 votes (vortexala, Plzurpilot, Steelheart, Pappi)
- Mayor resignation - more efficient way to transition between mayors - 2 votes (Chibi-Bar, Paubocca)
- City ledger - documentary of income/expense - 1vote (revisoHT)
- Alternative /citywarn - put the militia back to work! - 2 votes (Khristen, LeBob)
- List of /citybanned people, maybe in the city hall, only accessible by militia members
- Ability to control "dead" structures in the city - when people quit and leave their stuff around, empty vendors, etc.
- Verification on how some of the city specializations work - 1 vote (hajihill)
- City improvement options - change lanscape, paved roads, etc. - 1 vote (Vandessa)
- Communication options - city chat room
- Raising city cap, and removing city growth limits - 6 votes (dhcpSilicon, DoctorGriggs, DashLightspeed, MTolwyn, Refah, Cettina)
- When will Factional NPC be placable to patrol cities? - 1 vote (Star_Ranger)
- When is the next Politician Publish? - 1 votes (Psychotic Chipmunk)
- For the Space Expansion, at what city rank, if any, will player be allowed to depart in thier personal ships from player cities? - 1 vote (StumanKadir)
- When will the 'city inactivity' feature be reinstated. - 1 vote (Prelaunch)
Please anyone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong (or you feel that one vote per person is unreasonable), and thanks for your help Texxie.
