Thread: Anyone else have this problem with there CITY???

Hi all im on Gorath and i have had my city Hyperia...since day one...and i went through the citys charging tax 2 times a week bug just like most of you...but now all of a suddon about 1-2 hot fixes back my city started to mess up agian.
My city is not colecting the $2000 a week stright tax from anyone in the city.....I have now lost over $1,000,000 from the city because every week i get the vote and the money is taken out of the city tresury. BUT EVERYONE IN THE CITY DOES NOT GET TAXED!!!
I have already tried to re set the tax to $2000 again..but still nothing...I get the money from the garage 100% ok and i seem to get housing tax also at about 1/3 the amount i should....i went around my city and counted all the houses by type and did the math...then i looked at the money i got VS. the money i should have gotten in 1 H and there where way under even with shuttle $$ made....
I don't know if anyone else is haveing this problem but i would like to know i sent out a bug report and also talked to a CSR about it but all i got from them was sorry you are losing almost $1,000,000 a month sucks to be you thanks you for wasting your time typing to us...mean while our city which has $4,000,000 left will hit 0 in about 5 months unless i start pumping in my own money or running around asking the guild and city people for more money which is wrong!!!!!

Have the same problem on Lowca on Naboo. Noticed today.

This, in my opinion, is a VERY VERY big bug.
Almost the opposite of the credit- dupe bug..cept in this case, SOE should be banned ..lol

New Haven has been losing credits for a long time. The citizen tax is one, and sales tax is another. Luckily though, once I realized the whole tax system was borked, New Haven's citizens rose to the occasion and dropped voluntary credits into the city. To date, I must have put well over 10 million in myself. But I did rearrange and remove some city decorations to save a bit, and that has helped a good deal. I just wish the powers that be would fix some of the more pressing problems like this one before churning out the holy money maker that they think JTL will be.

yea same on bria. just got my first bill for 2.5 mill. oh well as the devs have said we are a minority and minorites dont matter in the starwars world. they are just stepping stones. lol

our taxes are at 0% and when the funds run low I carry my big stick and send the boys to dantooie to do jaanta 30K missions.

I do the same. Sned out a group to solo hunt, and they bring in the bucks. All proceeds from the hunt go to the city treasury.

How Ifund my city is,I find a good source of meat that doctors buy for buff packs and usally get 50 to 60 cpu. 10k of meat at 55cpu is 550,000 credits. The guild loves doing these missions they make a lot of money for themselves and I skim off some for the city. Just have to find a consistant buyer.

yeah thats great you are chipping in and donating to the city
but that money should be going into the player economy not to feed the biggest moneysink in SWG
player city taxes are broke and Im tired of it.
/bug report it, get your citizens to /bug it
/bug it everyday until it is fixed!!!!

Look Making money for the city is tough,I think paying for buffs is a rip off too thats why I play unbuffed most of the time.Also I for onerefuse to pay real money to get a couple million creditsto fund the city like some do. I have a small city filled with fairly new players just getting on thier feet they don't have the money to donate massive amounts of money all the time. If someone is willing to pay big cash for a byproduct of a 20k mission then I'm for it.

Since day one of taking over my guild I have had to come up with the 600k a week to run it...none of the taxes work, I only charge 10% property tax. But it comes with being mayor...I had a guildie recently try to put 100k in the treasury and she (somehow) ended up putting 13mill in instead, she thru a huge fit and told me I had to pay her back so unfortunately my arch business took a hit and I paid her back...but not after asking the CSR's if there was anyway to take that money out and give it back to her 
Ya right, we all know how they are with helping us out.But after all the guildies hearing about this they figured, hey the city has 13 mill in it now and we dont have to help out.So our city is saved for about 7 months lol and im slowly trying to build my bank roll back up. The joys of running a city

Hmmm, sounds like you need to rely more on your citizens, I will not fund my city to keep it alive. If the citizens don't want to help, then they will not have a city to live in. Sounds to me like you resident is a bit cheap, only donating 100k when she has more than 13 mill? If I ran my city like that we would already be gone.

yeah I run our city strictly by donations. Anytime we get under 4 weeks worth of funds in the treasury, I beat the drums and it is back up.
