Hmmm, sounds like you need to rely more on your citizens, I will not fund my city to keep it alive. If the citizens don't want to help, then they will not have a city to live in. Sounds to me like you resident is a bit cheap, only donating 100k when she has more than 13 mill? If I ran my city like that we would already be gone.

Well i also ask the people of the city to help...actually this week i ran contest for all city members to make money and donate it to the city..the winners will recive wookie orbs (top 4) and also 1 of our guilds medals (i have created medals for our Imperial guild to premote guild members helping each other or the guild)....

But in the end its all donation basis...and even if my guild and city members have 12.8 trillion $$ i cant force them to pay anything...most of our members pay and donate what they can...but past paying tax (which comes out of thre houses!!!) but does not go into the city..so as far as i'm conserned the tax problem is mine(because im mayor)....BUT THIS BUG IS A PROBLEM THAT THE DEV'S should be dealing with or all that will be left for player citys are the hard core mayors and a few of there followers.

There is no question the whole city Economy system has to be revamped - and working. There is currently no way a City can support itself without donations of one kind or another. If the sales tax worked, it might be enough in itself to finance a city. But there's no real way to tell because there is no way to reconcile the income.

In Nexus, on Corellia (Gorath) the city offers citizens a lot-lease program, paying 1k credits per day per lot. We sell the resources harvested through a vendor in our Cantina and the global market. We generally have 8 to 10 lots working. This income has kept us solvent.

We charge the normal shuttle fee and a 10% property tax, and have a garage. We have 73 citizens holding steady for several weeks now. Direct City income is about 350K short of city maintenance. Resource sales ebb and flow from 50K to 1.3mil a week, but over the last few months the City Treasury is actually growing.

Prior to the lot-lease program the city relied on donations.

well I'm a musician/politician so my income is extremely low... and I have to run the cantina so my cash goes there.

Since the sales tax got borked we've needed donations to keep going.

Unfortunately if the income tax and property tax are now borked as well then we've got major problems.

Man I don't want to log on to find this out. I haven't been keeping good track of our expenses/income lately so this is going to be a hassle
