Thread: The New Correspondent (voting and proposals)
Iwould definitelyconsider taking this position.
I am the mayor of a rank 5 city on Corellia, Starsider (Elysium).
If I am not picked, or decide that this position is not for meI think that the new correspondent should have serious technical background, as I think we all know that web-experience, forums administration, Web-site maintenance, and often coding skills are required in a good mayor, and a good politician correspondent should have the skill necessary to not only accomplish these things, but make better tools available to other politicians... Something I am seriously interested in doing.

Sounds like a good idea to me.
Something needs to be done about this profession, especially something that progresses the multitude of issues we all have before the eyes of the Devs and gets things happening.

As another long time collaborator of Haji's, I'll support him in this also.
I'm a bit concerned that this new demand on him time might impact our city, but after talking with him about it I think he can do pull off both gigs. He has some interesting ideas for the profession and you certainly can't question his committment. He's been our most consistent city leader for over a year.
I imagine that the final decision will be made by the Devs, but I ask that they consider Hajihill as a serious candidate.

Hate to be the bad news guy here but...
Is there a point?
1: Devs hardly ever respond to top 5 issues
2: Devs hardly ever implement top 5 issues in a short time if at all.
3: Devs have made it clear we will not be getting looked at for the next few publishes at least. In that we are joined with many professions that need help badly.
4: Any corespondant would have to show a photograph of him or herself so that we can see they have a big hard head that can stand the impact of contantly banging it against the wall without losing consiousness.
I say we are better off finding out who the guy is thats responsible for building our profession in the first place and make him/her and their team our correspondants. Then they can come here and tell us about all the stuff they had planned for us to do that got cut out as well as any city stuff that got cut out as well as what the future trully hold for us and when he/her/therm expect that future to materialize.
After debateing the issues with them for a week we should have all the answers we need to have in order to decide wether just dumping the profession is the best cause of action. By dumping I mean removing the skill point requierment. If they just did that it wouldnt matter if nothing ever changed because we can go about playing other professions while we wait.
Once all the changes come in they can reapply the skill point requierment.
