Our mayor only logs on once a week to check if she has enough xp to train and then logs back off. So we decided it was time to vote in a new one. The mayor just realized last night that she is being voted out and has sent me an email threatening to destroy the city if the one runnning against her does not drop out. We have never had any type of tax and now she has put the max tax on everything. She has removed everyone from militia. It's too bad some people have to throw fits like this. She has removed everything from the city hall so she is either expecting to lose or planning on really destroying the city. Hopefully she doesn't, the running mayor only needs 3 more votes to win.

You have only three choices really...

1. Give in to the threats and have the other candidate lose.

2. Buy a new city hall for the new candidate and throw it down when the other city hall is destroyed.

3. Pick up everything and move.

Sad to hear this is the case for you ...but your options are very limited.

Alreadly looking for another city hall. It will be too bad if I have to pay another 2 mill to put another city together. Although we will still have the hospital, but all the other structures I paid for will have to be replaced.

We had a similar situation in our city. I would suggest posting the mayor's name and threats on your server board, and let the community ostracize them for their actions.

First of all...that isn't griefing...secondly if you dont like the way the town is being run.....leave.....Istarted a town with a friend of mine that we built from the group up to a very busy city of 80 people (and growing) with all the bells and wistles and i would be very angry if someone was trying to toss us out. Now i know that some of you would think that because you live there, your opinion about what should go on in the city counts. Well not everything is democratic. Most of our citizens do not donate to the city hall, never help the mayor if say she needs room for say the new shuttleport, Do some of you not realize we mayors cant kick you out? Do you realize that most good cities cost 300k-600ka week if not more to run. Even if the sales tax work, we jacked of the travel and income tax....it would still never come close to paying for the things that a handy to you. It comes out of my pocket. Now the amount that we've spent on city stuctures(including the city hall), house's and couple months mainance for all new citizens (including all the time, effort and credits we spent helping a newb players) would drive you mad. Its making me think about not playing anymore (possibly like yourmayor). Anyway....i've been all over the place on this topic.....what im trying to say is....that if weknew a hostile takeover was iminent,we would take down EVERYTHING thatWE payed for andjack up the tax's to try and pay for all the time wasted on our BACKSTABING CITIZENS.

I laugh at the person who calls me a greifer for trying to take back something that is already mine.

Than its your problem for not being mayor in the first place. If this is the case than everything does belong to you although its not in your possesion. I would agree with any means of getting your city back under you own control, considering you paid for everything. Im sorry if i came out sounding hostile, i've just been a little upset that a couple of our citz were complaining about stuff like not letting put thier house in a certain place or about the extra 100 creds they have pay for the shuttle and threatend to try an get a new mayor. My friend and I share a 3rd account for the mayor and almost always log in daily before our own characters to take care of anything to do with our city. Im sure you can understand that although our situations are quite opposite, the frustration is very similar.

I hope you regain control of your city soon.

Apparently the our citizens did not like her actions very well. She is now losing 36 to 33. Now to just wait it out till the update in 2 days.

Wow! That is one crazy mayor. Im glad i didnt have a vindictive previous Mayor when i was voted in. However it did take several weeks to get everyone to vote at the same time to vote out the old MIA mayor.

Im going to have to got with the filing an complaint ticket. And have a new city hall rdy to be placed just in case. I hope your planets city statuses arn't full and i wish u luck.

Ok I am the opposing canadite for Mayor. I have dontated half of the maintence each week while the current mayor has not contributed since the begining. I do not consider this a take over when I emailed her informing her I was actively campaigning against her. I spent the entire week writing down the names of each citizen and emailing them a campaign letter that consisted of my ideas and what I would do if I was mayor. I also stood in front of the shuttle and city hall and spoke with citizens. The current mayor should be aware that every week there is an election and every week somone has the opportunity to run against them. There is also the chance they might win if the current citizens go in and change their vote from the current mayor to the challenger. This is the game mechanics. A week after my email, the current mayor finally logged on and was not happy that I was winning. This is when she threatened that either I drop out of the race or she was going to destroy it. Now I should not have to choose between keeping the current structure....ones btw she did not pay for....and doing what the majority of the citizens want which is to see her out of office.
