Some say it's not worth mastering. Maybe in the future that will change. It would be nice if they added some nice things for the Mayor's to use/do if they master it. Guess we'll just have to wait and see.

At present , you get six less skill points and get to use up 620 of those annoying apprentice points you had ...

If you have to struggle to get those ap points though, it's really not worth it unless you just want the title/badge.

ok, i found out what you get for mastering and it sure as hell isnt worth my time and skill!
two new city titles,
one of the titles lets it work so that both manufactuing center and research center both work together with their crafting benifits.
the other title lets the city work as both a medical center and entertainment district
not worh the pts let me tell ya

How do you get it to be Manufacturing Center and Research Center at the same time?

when your master pol, you get a new city title optionsuch as Inusutrious Centre or soemting cnat remember the EXACT name.
