This hurts cities deeply. Our city on Corbantis is merchant-laden, and we've implemented 0% Sales Tax because it generates ZERO revenue for the city.

yeah, I've even (rather boldly) bugged them about it at the combat discussions. no answer though, it's my highest priority item on the list.

I've just noticed that we're victim to this as well. It's costing us around 400k a week whereas we used to break even, even making a few bucks weekly. I reported the issue and opened a ticket. I later turned the sales tax off since it's useless. A CSR later informed me the treasury was not getting it's sales tax because it was set at 0% lol. Riiiiight. Guess they're all not aware of this issue.

no, I would not assume CSRs would know about this issue, since the devs didn't see it until I contacted them. I have no timeframe given, but have been told that this is high priority. when it's fixed I'm sure they'll let me know

only if you're sending in bug reports... posting it here will just make me read it over and over again

the merchant, so it might be a good idea to ask your merchants to donate to the city if you decide to keep your sales tax up right now.

Is this bugged for everyone in the exact same way? I thought I remember reading that it only goes to the merchant sometimes and sometimes it makes it to the treasury or just disappears.
Is this a universal bug that always gives the tax to the merchant?
