Hey, anyone have this problem?

We had someone not log in for 3 weeks, and they were removed from the city rolls... which we expected... but when they DID, all of their houses, vendors, inventory went poof! This has to be a bug! I haven't seen anything on the forums yet on this issue. I can understand if someone is removed from the roll: they can regain citizenship when they get back (in this case, they went on vacation).

But to loose all your stuff is just plain wrong.

Remove inactives from the citizen list of the city they live in, but nothing should be taken away from them. Placed structures will eventually go *poof* due to lack of maintenance, but inventory should be permanent until the character is deleted.

I believe that this is happening in my city but the persons involved haven't messaged me yet... one of the buildings to disappear was a guild hall... and i find it highly unlikely that that didn't have enough credits on it...

im wondering if they merely didnt pay the maintenence on the house rather than the login issue caused it to poof.

i have confirmed this bug...also not paying credits is extremely unlikely... i didn't get mass drops until the last patch... then i started losing one or two every other day... we're a large city so there is usually a quarter of the players playing the game off and on... this new rule is a pain in the butt in this regard... the loses so far are in the millions i expect... though i haven't started hearing the screams yet...

The devs said that anyone who does not log in after 3 weeks will be removed from the city. My city veritas on talus\star sider is loosing citizens and soon our shuttle port will be gone.We need at least 20 players to join. It is very frustrating because we have worked on this week by week. It is a shame to loose our level.

What the Notes say is this:

"Citizens will now be removed from a city if they haven't been online for about 6 weeks."

Does "removed from city" mean... removed from the city rolls as a citizen? Or physically removed from the premises?

Apparently, it means removed from the premises.

If the citizen who lost her Hall lost it due to a maintenance issue, she would still be a citizen. But she is not.

If the citizen who lost her Hall lost it because she didn't log in, doesn't it make sense that she would be removed from the City Rolls, but her stuff allowed to remain if the maintenance was kept up? That way, when she logs back in, she would simply have to reestablish citizenship.

It doesn't make sense to me that if they are going to remove a player from a city all of their stuff is forfeited.

Clearly, there is a bug here.

Actually, if the pA hall was her residance, and it poofed, she would loose her citizenship also. I have 3 vacent houses in my city that the maintance has been payed on, and they are still there, and the owners have not logged in, and they are still there also on the roster. For now, I am going with the no maint paid, I hope..

On a side note, I usually keep my PA hall paid well up, and Monday, it was almost ran down. I found this a bit odd, but couldnt remember how many days it should of had on it...

Are you sure that the person who didn't log in for three weeks just didn't stop playing? And then their account expired and their stuff went "poof" when it did?

Just speculating.

The same thing has occurred in our player city.

We have lost about 10 so far. Of these 10, 4 have pre-paid one year accounts and decided to take a break from the game for a couple months. They made arrangements with the Mayor to keep the maintenace going on their homes if they were gone longer than 60 days (they put 75 days of maintenance in their homes). The homes went poof with all their stuff in it...weapons...armor...resources...despite the paid accounts and adequate maintenance.

My question is when this 6 week not logging in begins. Did the 6 week start at patch 6 or began when the character was last logged in?

I've talked toa few mayors and we have had different experiences. I have one resident that hasn't logged in since late December and their house is still there and still a resident. His threeharvs just disappear and the individual with admin access is not entire sure if maint was paid up. Another resident left the game in January and I have admin and their house is still there and they are still a citizen. I have had 2 houses disappear. One person hadn't logged in since November but the other hadn't logged on since early January. Both disappeared within a week of patch 6, but I had assumed that maint ran out (but I have no way to verify this). When the houses went, we lost them as citizens.

Now, I'm keeping a watch on our casual players and recording the last time they were on. If the 6 week no log - no residency began at the start of patch 6, I should be losing 2 residents, maybe 3. Just wish the devs were a bit clear on this.

God, this sounds like a mess.

I have lost a couple people here and there lately, but I thought it was due to normal people quitting/leaving.

Baj, do you think we could press hard for a dev statement on this? At least we can then go to our citizens and explain what the rules of the game are. This having to guess and possibly loose everything you own senario is ludicrious.
