Rovani, I would love to see how you would do with this job. You must look at how much hard work Plinka has put into Politician and how much dedication she has to improving the game. Oh, by the way, you are really asking for it with the smart ass remark.

Whatever bugs there are did not come from Plinka, and they did not result in a lack of bug reports by Plinka. And about what BlindTyldak said about Plinka looking through 'our' eyes, I suggest looking through Plinka's first.

I have stated that there has been a DEFINATE transformation of the plinka persona.

before the bs "i quit/your fired" (which ever it was) session, and after it.

Plinka was great prior to that mess and since coming back has been real arrogant towards us. I dont appreciate coming here to see a official soe rep talk down to us like we are idiots.

If you like that, then you must have a low self esteem.

As for how I would handle this position? Who knows. I sure as hell know that i wouldnt be a smart ass to people im representing. WIthout them, i wouldnt be much of a representitive of the politicians.

Granted nobody can please everybody all of the time, but to publically talk to people in the manner plinka has demonstrated lately is unacceptable.

She doesnt get paid to give us sarcasm either. But she does.

Just because shes a volunteer doesnt give her free reign to be abusive to people.

And its not like shes been this way all of the time. Just this is how she is acting lately which people dont like.

She launched the first attack in the explain to me thread. So if anybody is to really blame here its plinka.

Sarcasm to you is somebody being rude and abusive to the people its directed to. And the people who were on the recieving end of that sarcasm didnt appreciate it when it happened.

The sarcasim is just a perk, and I love it

If you think she just went sarcastic on people without witnessing untold numbers of far worse comments from her fellow "customers", you should read a few more threads in this forum. Just start on page one, and read it through the first ten pages, and tell me what you think about the manners of your fellow players.

Actually my job is managing a customer support group.

However the Architect Correspondent is NOT customer suport, it is a represenitive for a group of players. I personally think that the lousy attitudes presented by many posters here should be dealt with as roughly as they are given.

Your doing fine Plinka and I do like your open-mindedness, we need to think about the people that our profession conflicts with that don't have the luxury of a city to be part of.

Some people's unbelievably abusive behavior on this forum resulted in the creation of this thread.

Unlike SOE employees (who frankly don't deserve it either, despite the state of the game), she doesn't get paid to put up with the childish behavior some people exibit here. Those players have got nothing of merit to say about getting a little bit of sass tossed back their way. And for those who don't behave that way to begin with... those sarcastic comments don't apply, so stop taking offense already.

The problem is that some of those she threw the sarcasm
at did no such thing. She is alientating people are trying to help her (remember the Valadon FAQ issue)?

And then we on chilastra get called "whinny" because WE took action and got the problem addressed OURSELVES. May be with future problems she will help us maybe not. But her comments here do not give me a lot of confidence.

Now it may well be that she is fighting like the dickens for us on the correspondants forum. However, her actions are becomming more and more inflamatory and devisive here on the boards. Some of that does rest sqaurely on the shoulders of those who came after her on the citywarn issue. However, she has the ability to BIND this meta-community into one cohesive body. Instead she posts this thread which DIVIDES the community into two camps.

Personally, I thought that showed poor judgement. And just as Plinka is entitled to act as she sees fit. I am entitled to be of the opinion that those actions ultimately cost more than the benefit she brings. I am also entitled to be of the opinion that there are SEVERAL people on this board capable of doing a good job as correspondant.
