You ever seen what a 20K mission will do to my Grand Wrixes? IfI had enough Meds and theskill to use them the maybe my GW's would not take such a beating.

But wait!!! I Forgot !!!!

The Devs have decided to personally attack me by having the mission's Mobs come after me instead of my pets.LOL I have Pistol IV in the Marksman tree, and that is the extent of my combat prowess. I will be seeing many cloning rooms after they finsh rerighting all the creatures in the game to make "Knocky" KOS for having the audacity to try and fight against the creatures that constantly try to kill me as I run from harvester to harvester.

Now that insurance is about to enter the game again. My money will be going there instead of a city since God forbid I CHOOSE to make a corpse run instead of insuring my items.

I guess I will have to give up all my Architect certs and pick up Medic since I will need to do a whole lotta healing.

Lets talk Architect, I get about 5 credits per resource off the structures I make, why? Because people are paying 200 credits per unit for a weapon and choose to not pay much for a house. Now that all the rich powerplayer are getting Holocrons telling them to enter the crafting fields the "Player Economy" is going to go to hell once they start dumping their grinded items into the market.

Yep, time to give up all crafting and become what the Devs obviously want me to be, a combat character. Watch out Chilastra, there will soon be one more flamethower added to the thousands of flamethrower wielding Commandos out there.

Master CH and Commando with Flamethrower IV. Yep that is certainly what the Devs want.

You gotta be kidding me.. Master CH/Commando with Flame4 is the only way to make money?

Hell I'm a Master Doc/Almost Master CM with Pistol 1 and Novice Artisian and if I actually try I can EASILY make 30k an hour.. so in about 3-4hrs time PER WEEK I can pay for a city hall myself. All of this is done while I make stuff to finish out the last 2 crafting boxes of CM for master rank..

Making money in this game is easy if you actually try to do it the smart way doing what your character is good at and not just doing combat with minimal combat skills..

NOTE: None of the 30k / hr is from selling buff's or anything of the like. When I actually sell buff's and try to make a big chunk of change I can make ALOT more then this.. the 30k/hr is simply from running missions.

I don't get it. First we must buy a building. No loans, we pay cash. Then we must pay maintenance. For what? I have never seen a cleaning lady or any other person working on my house. Where do the money go? Do we pay to SOE? I pay real money to them every month. SOE, you are greedy.

I'm not a merchant, I'm not a business man. I'm a two-handed swordsman (Novice). I've been playing the game for a month and still only have 40k to my name.

Some of us don't grind out missions, make weapons and armor to sell for 20k or more per peice, or other things that some seem to make millions of creds at. And I do play everyday for more hours than I probably should. The thing I DO understand about the economics of the game is that it can be very lopsided. A whole bunch for some and a little for others.

Obviously, there needs to be some balance. As a previous post said, the devs want to have a high bar when it comes to maintaining a city. I do like that they have made it hard to maintain a city but I also believe they have gone over board slightly. I have opened a debate on our PA forums as it needs to be discussed. I believe it will initially be the richer members supporting the newer onesuntil they can support themselves and have the skills to bring in more credits.

We have bought small generic homes for our newer members but they will need to pay the upkeep and taxes. This has caused our city to grow much quicker as everyone must be a homeowner. And in turn, a productive member of our community.

We also have planned hunts on Planets that pay well. I do think there needs to be more ideas to raise funds to balance the budget. Having the PA own a bunch of resource harvestors can off set some of the burden. One of our members has said that 2 people can make 160k every 45 minutes on certain planets so in 8 hours of game play it would be aprox. 1.6mm and could cover the costs weekly. That is one way to do it but putting the burden on a few people isn't fair to them. Playing 8 hours just to balance the budget isn't why some of us got in the game. So I welcome your ideas & thoughts on this as we brainstorm this topic!

Taxing us monthly for 1mm instead of weekly would allow us to enjoythe game without the concern of coming up with that amount every week. This is an escape from RL not an extension!!

This may have been answered and I missed it, but here goes. If a city hall is built close to my house, am I automatically a citizen of that city? With the taxes and fees and everything, I don't want to be in a player city. If I do end up being "forced" into a city I will pack up and move. I'm mainly a Master Doctor, and I sit in the Med Center alot to heal people. I don't get paid (except for the occasional tip) for my services. Since the Devs never included medic missions. If I have to be in a city I will just have to charge everyone I heal up front for my services to pay for the city I don't want to be in. My house is mainly for storage purposes and I guess I'll have to sell off everything I don't need, and get rid of the house. I'm not a combat class, I'm a support class, I help make peoples game play easier and more fun. And it looks like player cities are going to be a large drain on my limited income, and make my game play harder. Plus forget it if you want to take some time off to just wander around the galaxy, you need to earn credits to pay for a city.

For those of you irritated at how much tourists will have to pay ought to look at the tax structures of tourist destinations. Sales tax, hotel tax, rental car tax, airline tax, alcohol tax, etc. etc. etc. This isn't going to be the horrid thing people foresee, and if it does, perhaps a new mayor should step up and challenge the mayor that is not doing a good job. Oh wait, you can. If you don't like the way your city is being run, step up to the plate and show you can do a better job, otherwise, go find some quiet piece of land near the Lake Retreat and live the life of a hermit.

seriously

100 people,

10k per week each.

1m total.

If you can't make 10k extra in a week, you need to find someone willing to explain it to you in jibberish. That money can be made in 2 minutes with a group with an AT-ST. /cry but rebels don't get AT-ST's. tough, join an army that can actually afford to outfit its troops and put forth some fire power. friggin terrorists
