I've got the same problem as Steelhart, that of items randomly vanishing from inventories or evenbuildings until a long log-out,in our city New Cardia, Dantooine (Eclipse). Our citizens have less-than-affectionately named the bug "The Ghost of Exar Kun," and it has only happened since pub 9.1. A CSR informed methat we had a server line just inside our western-most border, but it mystifies me why we've never had this problem at all until this publish... and it doesn't happen only when crossing that line, it seems to affect people in all parts of the city at random (and often frustrating) times.

Every night on guildchat, I'm guaranteed to now hear at least three or five cries of "Exar is at it again!" or "Dangit, Exar took my armor!" or "Well so much for grinding, Exar took all my resources" or "Guess the duel is cancelled, Exar made off with my food, must be hungry..."

It's funny, but it's getting old. Really.

THIS IS A MAJOR, MAJOR LIFE-THREATENING BUG!

So, like, can we expedite a fix somehow...? =)

I can read... the large font *really* isn't necessary.

edit: also, have any of you reported these bugs with /bug? if noone report them in game, the devs won't think it's a serious bug. again, please lay off the large font, I hate reading threads that hurt my eyes.

Sorry, done as mild attempt at humor, not trying to be rude... and if I figure out how to edit the message, I'll fix it, hehe.

But to answer your question, yes, we've all started a /bug campaign... I hope we get noticed at some point, we just lost a set of bases because half the defenders lost armor when driving out of the city towards them =P

just wondering if anyone else is having this problem --

since becoming mayor of my city (New Republic City, Tatooine, Starsider) about a week and a half ago, I've not been able to make use of the "citizens" email function.

the first CS ticket I put in on this was somewhat helpful, as the rep suggested the standard log out then back in and try again, as well as temporarily removing the profile folder for that account so a fresh one could be created. this ticket wasn't put in until after I'd attempted to use the 'city email' a number of times over the course of several days. I even waited for an additional city update, just in case something hadn't fully updated during the 'change in power'. using the comment function on the ticket, I reported back to the CSR and waited patiently for some additional suggestions.

after a few days of no response, I made note of the information on that ticket (it was still flagged as "open"), then I deleted it and created a new ticket, thinking that perhaps the still-open one had fallen below the radar. for the convienence of the CSR, I outlined the situation, and copied over the text from the previous ticket, to save them the trouble of having to look it up. this time, the reply mentioned that I needed to be inside the city to use the "citizens" email. I replied that I was reasonable sure I was in the city for most, if not all of the previous attempts, attempting a bit of levity by saying that a couple of them were sent while I was in the city hall, which should be in the city. to be certain, I also sent another test at the same time, again with the result of no message being delivered to the citizens. this morning, I was a little bit disappointed to discover that my second ticket had be flagged closed with no further response, so I'll have to once again recreate my query.

to recap -- I am mayor of the city, according to the city management terminal at city hall. I've attempted on several occasions, on different days, in different parts of the city (both indoors and out) to send an email to "citizens" (with no quotes in the addressing), and none of those messages has been delivered. additionally, the past mayor has checked for me, and she no longer has the all citizens option available to her.

does anyone have any ideas or suggestions?

thanks

Picking up a streetlight does not remove it from the city budget unless you use the "remove" option on the radial menu (which, btw, picks it up AND removes it if you use that right away).

Minor annoyance, but if you forget and just pick up your streetlights, you are still paying for them.

--------------------

Also, to offer a suggestion to the person who wanted to rename city buildings - we recently had a private citizen offer to pay for our entire shuttleport. To thank him, we had a statue named in his honor and placed in front of the shuttleport, announcing his kind act.

When trying to drop a city hallnearbye another player city The "1000m rule from city hall to city hall" stated by the devs in the Advanced Guide to Player Cities and the Knowledge Base is actually "1100 meters from city hall to city hall"

1. shuttling into a city your banned from

2. using the commands to buy your ticket in a city you are banned in ( i consider this an exploit )

3. using a ticket someone bought for you or method above to shuttleout

Ok as im a new Mayor of a city that will grow to rank2 this weekend i guess there are many bugs missing as i readed above i had not come in contact until now, but here a list of very annoying bugs i had in 4 days of being mayor:

1. When i became Mayor of my new city i automatically became first citizen. So long so good, but 2 days after i got weekly incumbatant mayor wons from the city i lived before, checked then there and im still listed as citizen there. Ok then flied back to a city i lived about 3 months ago, and im there also on the citizen list still but dont get those weekly mails.

2. Citymail to "citizens" is not working (tried in CityHall and just oustside city hall also tried lower and upper case)

3. When citizen is declared on a building nearly on the edge of the city bounders i often get no mail that new citizen is added, but i get mail that building is added. However the citizen is standing on the citizen list. So its only bad when u tell people twice to declare and they tell u that they did a little annoyed and i have to check terminal then every time. But seems only to happen at buildings that are not completely inside the boarders.

4. Not really a bug, but i think it should get a small change. All Professions get xp when imeditatle doing something with there Profession. So in my opinion it is Politican Experience placing a city and getting those 10 first citizens in it, so there should also be granted the first k xp so u get at least a mission terminal.

5. What has "Warmaster" to do with a Mayor???

6. Very hard to find out at placing structures if they r inside or outside bounders when placed on the edge. There should be some command to see city boarders while placing structures.

7. Please add some scrolling possibility (in and out) while placing structures, sometimes some more overview would really help avoiding wrong placing

This dual-citizenship bug has to be addressed soon. I have some people in my town that are actually citizens of THREE towns even though in the other two towns they do not have any structures.

I have the same problem. I have an individual that is still listed as a resident but their house decayed and they left the game. I've submitted a bug and csr report and the csr informed that the individuals have to undeclare as a resident. Wonder how those individuals that have left the game are going to undeclare?

I find this frustrating since I have to spend each morning going around and do an inventory check of all houses and if one is missing, send an email to the person to get a verification of the loss of their house (assuming that they are still playing).

This bug needs to be addressed immediately because nothing but abuses are going to occur. Hey, I need to reach tier IV for my shuttleport. Get Fred, Mary and John from City X to drop a house and declare residency to inflate your population size. They then can pull up their houses and bingo and have land to place more structures to numerically inflate your population.

Citybans being circumvented, and taxes not working.

All the above items as well.

Do we really have to fill out bug reports on all these items before they get attention?

If so, then why dont we start focusing on getting as many mayors as possible to start this process so it becomes more of a priority!

Yeah,

Exar Kun visits my city, but he seems to be targeting only me. I pick up stuff then it disappears. It always comes back after a long log-out.

I also can't send e-mail to citizens. I tried every possible comibination, barring spelling it wrong. lol. NOTHING works. Sent a CSR and i send /bug reports everytime i log on.

Will create a new ticket next time I log on.

They recommened doing a full scan. Nada. I don't know what is up with that, but it sounds like a known issue and that they won't be ingorning it for much longer.

Keep reporting the bugs people.

It is clearly a BUG that Politician profession takes up skillpoints at all. It should require only exp IMO. The current system gives you choices:

1) Your city is run by a bad wannabe mayor who does quite horrible job

2) Your city is run by a really good mayor but due to the skill point demands the things he can do is rather limited

My example here is the good old mayor of Mos Quito Hills on Tatooine (Eclipse). He's been Master Doctor since beta. Now with the vendor revamp he needs merchant skills too.

Master Medic = 77 SP
Master Doctor = 63 SP (140 in total)
0040 Artisan = 29 SP (169 in total)
Novice Merchant = 6 SP (175 in total) (Novice might not cut it though)
.. now.. add the politician SP requirements and what do you get? You are a mayor of a great city with one 'actual' profession and unable to do pretty much anything else.

I personally think the whole SP system should be revamped but Politican profession taking up skillpoints is just blatant robbery. I think every player should have the opportunity to participate in fighting no matter what is his main profession. Ok, so you are a crafter and not really combat oriented. Perhaps you can't solo anything very tough but you still should be allowed to have some fun and be able to go hunt something.

And the nick is Malice in the game...
Current profession: Triperation (don't ask)

ill agree that Politican should take lesser Skillpoints than other professions. Just for the case, u become Jedi with the Mayor, u wont be able to do any usefull with that Jedi as u need neraly a whole Profession for keeping it up. Ok, relly dont need half Politican Skills, i guess its enaugh when u have 2424 Politican, but then unable to change your city Specialisation.

However, i think that Politican is really more a Roleplaying Profession, or in some cities something that just anyone needs to do. Both sidedhave no plus on any other Profession with that, they can make no money with it, and without city the whole Profession is useless, so i see no point why it uses Skillpoints.
