People do not have the right to sit here and say you should not have posted this. So again...please stay on topic. Pretty simple.

Ummm I do believe that you have been telling people that they should not have posted things.

And I think what people are saying is not that you shouldn't have posted this, but that there is no point in posting this. Why bother?

sorry but the purges wont solve any troubles

why?

causepeople drop in every few months for a few s => so won t be affected

cause people moved to other servers => so won t be affected

the first purge (if it ever happened) didn t remove any buildings it should => so why should it work with the next

and finally waiting 6 months to clear a building blocking the city is not helping in any way

so i d say better pick the subject up again instead of telling us about the fairy tales of the great purge

There was no first character purge this would be it. What you are thinking of was the citizen purge of aught 4 which was used to clean up the double citizen bug among other things. This one will literally delete the character and all of his belongings.

if so it failed, cause there hasn t been any of the double citizens i know (about 10 atm) cleaned up

and i doubt that this purge will delete any of the buidlings that are a problem in our city
their owners of 2 changed 2 months ago to another server and the buildings are now on 13%

the other 2 belong to a player that returns all 2-3 months or so, and doesn t care about moving them

Well it was over a year ago so you probably got a few new ones, I know I did, and for the 2 that come back and forth just have them shoot you a mail saying CS can lift it up and they can actually do it then.

i ve asked 2 CSRs to remove them from my citizen list, cause they don t live here, have no building and are citizens in 2 other cities.

Answer of the CSRs (in short version)

Sorry we are not able to remove themcause there s no tool available to us to do so.

I'm talking about the homes of the people that don't care but still play. If they send you a mail then you have proof of them giving the go ahead to remove the homes, not the citizens list. At least that is my understanding of requirements for home removal.

The citizen purge was a one shot deal to clean the mix-ups at the time. It was summarily taken out after doing just that. 6 week inactives where removed from the city, then the 6 week inactivity rule was removed.

Most CSR's are lazy and won't solve problems that don't involve moving missing items/people. I've sent in 3 tickets simply asking how much money is left in the "treasurey" (ie bank account) of a PA hall in my town. 2 of them saying clearly that I know the new rules that where patched into the game, thatI just want to know how bigthe owner'sbank account is. Guess what response I've gotten on them so far as if they have it on notepad ready to cut and paste?

Be sure to check for all points of view when figuring out How many people will be agreeing with you.

There is a tent in our merchant area, vendors wiped out long ago... it will probably stand for =years= unless the character (inactive account) is purged. I have new residents ask about that tent on a regular basis. Would be nice if it was gone.

I have 12 inactive citizens. Removing their houses -would- make space for new residents, but to lose 12 citizens in one purge? Rough...

I have four houses. All of them draw directly from the bank. I don't have to bother with maintainence anymore. I =love= that. I bet a lot of people do.

And if you know human nature... if it ain't a problem for -them-, it ain't a problem.
