1. the ability to map a city or be able to see whats buildable or not buildable.

2. allow use to level hills or provide better landscpaing.

3. cut the cost of the city. most cities can cost about 300-500k per week.

4. bring /citywarn back but with in reason.

5. moving houses that are frozen. due to a character leaving the game.

6. city chat? or possibly a mailing system some cities are multi pa or non pa. a permant room.

7. bring in a diplomat tree. have meetings in the palace in theed or something along those lines.

8. we would like garages. ideally i see the reasoning behind the the why not same goes for a starport.

9. give us warehousing! lol a dream truly a dream.

10. have working home location listed in profile in game. perhaps saying what city this person calls home.

These are not in numbered order, as they are all of equal importance to me:

1. More city structures: Garages, Streets/Pavement, and Walls being most obvious and logical to my mind. Garages complete a city's amenities, and they just seem right. Streets are needed; Grass coming up through the shuttleport is absurd, and a big skyscraper Corellian City Hall (for example) looks ridiculous sitting in a field!

2. Reimplementation (with reworking to prevent griefing/abuse that happened before) of /citywarn and/or upgrading of /cityban to actually ban, i.e., remove the banned from town (outside the border) and prevent their re-entry, prevent the calling of pets in town, etc. Give cities some protection from griefing. Faction-based cities may have some options, but neutral cities are sitting ducks for all sorts of grief. And why do we have Militias now if they will not be allowed any real function other than the granting of zoning rights? (And they need to grant each other rights as it is, not having that right automatically.)

3. We NEED more detailed reports from the City Maintenance Terminal! We need details of how much each type of tax is actually bringing in week to week, how much the shuttleport is bringing in, how many people are riding the shuttle or are cloning in a city, etc. We are Accountants without the books!

4.Give Mayors a way to remove structures from a city and to warn/eventually remove citizens who make life miserable for other citizens. An abuse of zoning rights to lay structures willy nilly, a citizen who names their house something vulgar, a citizen who griefs other citizens or visitors or spews filth...Mayors need some sort of warning and eviction capabilities for these cases. Mayors with these problems attest that /report certainly hasn't worked.

5. Fix City Bugs! -
a. Repeat updates draining treasuries and making city structures (or whole cities) or smaller cities or cities without a big treasury surplus disappear;
b. Politicians not getting their XP over and over;
c. lack of ability to place Bio-Engineer trainers,
d. City drift!
e. City Specializations not working correctly
f. Bug? Master Politician no longer has ability to have multiple Specializations listed. Masters can no longer do this?
g. Bug or stealth cap? We need an explanation of the unannounced cap on Metros (not the Lvl 4+ cap) and/or a lift of that cap. If it is intended, we need an explanation and/or a reworking. If it is a bug, it needs to be squashed. Reference thread: http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=Politician&message.id=19485
h. Redeeding of Parks causing destruction of city structures.
i. Fountains and Streetlamps being...weird. If you place them, then Pick Up, you can not replace them again without Removing them, THEN choosing Align N/S/E/W (your choice) from the Radial...lol. Also: Decorations need to be afforded access to slash commands, i.e. /rotate left/right ##, /move forward/back ##, etc. This Align option is irritatingly limiting and disallows any diagonal placement, as well as not allowing lining things up properly.
j. We can't change the City Hall sign.

* Honorable Mention: This would be higher if there weren't so many BIG problems to be dealt with. Give us a reason to become Master Politician! There is no benefit to it now. Reduced maintenance costs, extra decorations or trainers, special placable objects...something. For so many skill points and several boxes that we don't even use - all those Specializations, and we can only use one - it's a huuuge point sink, with no real benefit to either the Politician or the Cities.

My Top3 issues. In this order.

1) No way for me to maintain order or remove unwanted people from city. /citywarn, /CondemStructure, ect. Perhapse steeper penalities for /cityban (ie, enter NO structures, or ruberband out of city limits.

2) Lack of skills vs Points used- The entire politian tree gives you a total of5 commands, 11 structures and8 specializations, there is nothing for defense, reducing maintance, entertainment or anything of the like. Yet Costs 77 Skill points. I'd like to see more structures, Arches, Garages, walkways, hotels, universities, ect.

3) More Deligation of athority. Instead of giving Militia all of the skills, I'd like to be able to deligate 1 or 2 people City Planners (/grantZoning) and then militia/police (/cityban, ect).

I've been through the whole thread now, counting replies, tallying results. Any posts made after this won't be counted on my end-of-the-week "current top issues" summary, but don't hold back. We'll be revisiting this list, adding to it, redefining the issues, and coming up with our proposed solutions. We're just getting started. I'll be posting the results of this week's list of issues in a few minutes in a separate thread.

Short term

1. Give citywarn back. if 30 seconds is too short, make it 60. If cities being too close to POI's makes this an abuseable power, fix that specific problem. If it is still deemed abuseable, give each player the ability to use it only once per hour or some other arbitrary number. Other than a shuttleport and zoneing rights, there is very little benefit to being a city right now.

2. Fix politician experience issues.

Long term

1. Give city specialization more value. Research center costs 125k in order to basically make cheaper schematics etc. It should give 1.5 experimentation points to all craft skills like everyone incorrectly assumed.

LongTerm:

1. Give Mayors more control/information about their cities. Enhanced structure management, like specific zoning, and making owner information available.More detailedfinancial info as well.

2. More content/control for politicians. Ability to resign their posts, ability to delegate responsibilities to councils, vice-mayors, better militia management etc. Chances for them to do more than /grantzoning rights and raise taxes. A reason to master.

3. More reasonable decoration prices and limits. Can't do much with what's avaiable now with these fees.

ShortTerm:

1. Player Garages, please?

2. /citywarn: bring it back

3. Fix theatres, make them worth the trouble.

Short term:

1. Player City Garages.
2. Income from Mission Terminals, NPC Trainers, Garages and Cloning centers.
3. /citywarn (must be performed by two Militia members within 30sec on the criminal)

Long term:

1. Giving the Politician more to do with the skill points invested, or change the number of skill points required for the profession.
2. Increase the number of gardens, fountains, statues, and streets that can be added to cities (Decrese the cost of these decorations).
3. Give us the abaility to see who's the owner of a structure and be able to move it with inventory in tact.

My top three problems as mayor:

1) My city never updates on time.

2) My city never updates on Time

3) My CITY NEVER UPDATES ON TIME.

WE are now in our THIRD DAY of ERROR status on the weekly vote. Due to the normal crawl, we are now almost a week off of our original vote date, meaning I've lost a week's experience. And the CSRs say "you have to wait until your next scheduled update to see if it finally happens before we just poke it and give you the XP.

Every week it's the same. First it was like 12 hours, then 24 hours, then 2 days, now 3 days (and counting). And our update doesn't even happen on the same day as everyone else, so it shouldn't be that the server is busy with other cities. WE were founded on the Sunday AFTER cities went live.

I think I have an idea for the /citywarn problem.. see this thread:

http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=Politician&message.id=21159

It talks about /cityignore as an idea.. I would hope it has a lower grief possibility and it would give us SOME relief from idiots in our city.

My personal top issues:

1. fix city update bug (our city just starts ticking daily again, with maint at 650k)

2. Minefields placed in city radius before city growth will stay FOREVER (no decay, no maintenance... perfect ciry griefing, and the CSRs won't do anything about it)

3. garden redeeding problem (/destroyStructure don't select the closest garden)

4. Master Politician Box is a waste of points

5. Without /citywarn Stronghold spec is too expensive at 150k/week
5a. Without /citywarn Martial Policy III Box is next to useless

6. even with 100+ citizens a metropolis cannot support itself with taxes if decently decorated.

7. No recruiters placeable (see #5 and make faction terminals martial policy iii and recruiters martial policy iv to make it useable again)

8. no access control. we need to allow others to grant zoning, place decorations, etc.

9. too few decorations and they're too expensive

10. gardens are expensive and bugged (small gardens have invisible walls, you cannot see how a garden will look in overview map, gardens don't terraform, garden furniture isn't usable, you cannot place own furniture in a garden etc etc)

11. Mayors should be able to MOVE and ROTATE a house without redeeding it if /consent'ed by the owner to do so.

12. Higher City ranks should get paved roads, npc spawns etc.

13. Mayors get a lot of mail spam; so WTH we get NO waypoint/mail if a structure is removed? I need to know where my free buildingspots are to fill them up again.

That's so funny! While so many said that they agreed with what I said or put similar statements in their requests, I somehow got 1-starred. People are so silly.
