Thread: Official Response on lost election exp
I've had nothing but positive responses from CSR staff when I have had to use them. Regarding the issue with the lost 100 xp mayor points from the first upgrade, while it took five or six days for them to answer my ticket, it was handled immediately and that lost XP returned to me.
It takes about an hour for the server to update once your city goes into update mode, during which time you'll receive an 'error' message. I've also found that it takes a hour or two more after that, for the XP to be awarded. I would speculate that this is because the game updates/saves hourly, and the first update has to go through, before the politician XP can be awarded at the next hourly update. Simply coding/timing issues. Same with the strange time of updating the city changing a bit every week. This too, I would suspect is because of downtime not counting to the countdown.
Most of the questions I'm seeing, can also be found in the various faq's they are putting out.

CSRs contact Walt Polinski (Mayor) ASAP
This is getting crazy! The city update was on Friday morning, it's now Monday and my mayor STILL doesn't have his xp. What's the deal? Most of the other mayors have gotten their missing xp. Another member of my town submitted a ticket and it was answered within hours telling him to have the character in question send in a CS Ticket. Which was opened immediately after the update and the problem was found. This is crazy!
I'm always the first one to defend the devs and the CSR's but throw me a bone here guys. It's not easy to defend you when this has gone on for so long. Please at least read the ticket! Please?!?

While this is simply a regurgitation of the previous issue .... I too have no EXP. I would like to extend my debt of gratitude to SONY in yet another job well done. You see i pride myself and being honest and up front with everyone i meet .... in both real life and this game ..... and i hold everyone accountable for what they say withregards to how things work and when things will get done.
Was i upset when i found out that my city update was occuring 6 hours early and that meant that the group i had scheduled to come after the reboot wouldnt count ... thereby causing me to have to scramble at the last few hours to get 4 people in for my city to level ... no that didnt really bother me ......
was i even dissapointed when i realized just 20 minutes before my update that my vote didnt count so simply getting 20 people would only grant me 1900 exp points which would be enough for only one skill .... no i dont mind waiting another week for 100 exp and after all K.I.S.S. (Keep it simple stupid, 20 people =2000exp) must only be a military term ....
But when i expect to be able to provide something to my people after they have placed their faith and confidence in me and taken on the journey to settle lok .... and I am unable to deliver them some boon to their new life on lok .... i am furious .... first of all i wasn't guilded prior to my city ... so every penny that went into was what i had been saving ( i am guilded now but with my own new guild) .... so when YOU dont deliver sony ..... YOU are effecting my existance on this game ....... So PLEASE IN THE FUTURE BEFORE YOU WRITE A CHECK MAKE SURE YOUR BUT CAN CASH IT .......
One last question with regards to the 52 card pickup game they played when assigning the skill/rank requirements for Player cities ........ One would think that when a city was promoted that is would be possible for the mayor to use the EXP he SHOULD have gotten in order to get the skills to place the structures of the next city rank ...... so why then pray-tell is a bank a skill you can only get after you have been re-elected twice and yet the city requirement is only rank 2 ....... hmm ..... and since the exp thing is obviously broken ... might you give it to the recruiter so that we can simply buy it ..... that way we can find all of the yet to be discovered bugs now .... and you can include the fixes in some new expansion pack that i am sure is gonna come out with some new and cool stuff and it will only cost us like 50 bucks and it will be chock full of new and adventurous bugs for us to discover ......
One other thing i think we should start naming bugs after the person who discovered them kinda like stars you know ..... that would add a whole new sense of personal involvement with the game ......
Oh and thank you again ..... i must go for now and explain the current "lack of perks" to yet another dissappointed citizen

Add me to the list...I actually did receive my xp (even on time), but our city didn't update at all, even though we have the correct number of citizens and thereare only 10 cities on Naboo (to my knowledge), thus the cap to tier 4 should not effect any settlement currently on the planet. I have the sneaking suspicion that SOE either dropped the cap lower without notifying us, or that the structure bug where signs disappeared on our update day screwed up our advancement...(city hall was one of the structures with a missing sign).
We got the "error" report as well in teh city update time counter. I have no idea what that means.
I've been very patient and understanding for hte last 6 months...however, this time I am livid. This bug not only affects me, but every other citizen who worked their butts off this week to get our shuttle placed. And now we don't have one. Filled out a CSR ticket on Friday....no response yet...

Still waiting for an answer. Now we hear from two different mayors the CSRs aren't even giving them the xp they didn't get. What is going on?

I finally got my exp all that i had to do was sent the CSR an email so we could link up in game ...... after he checked the logs he gave me my EXP ...... while i wasn't happy that i didnt get the exp on time ..... I am thrilled that i did finally get my lost exp ...... and the cap is not 2k cause i got 2600 for my last election and then the CSR gave me the 2k i had not recieved ...... finally my city is more than just a collection of houses ..... dont lose faith .... you will get yours ..... just make sure you have a ticket in and they will take care of you.

Same thing's going on with me. They say I got my 5500 XP while I say I didn't. I had CSR TimV contact me saying to e-mail him when I was going in-game and he would meet me. Hopefully my meeting is as successful as yours.
One question though - does meeting me validate my claim? Can't logs bear out the facts?
