What about the idea of being able to withdraw more than just 50k credits per day from the city's treasury? Currently my guild is looking to uproot to another planet but may not do so due to the fact that we have over 12 million credits in our city treasury. At 50k per day that would take an extremely long periodto withdraw. Is it possible to up the amount that we are able to withdraw like it is in guild hall structures?

I'd love ALL the ideas on the wish list to come true :/

Also would like to see:

  • Mayor able to remove buildings and even move buildings, maybe with the new house-roll-up system coming soon this will be possible - I know moving houses is asking a lot, the ability to remove a citizen and their house(s) is what I'm really after

  • Civic structures (like clone center) should allow people to be placed on the admin list. Being Mayor doesn't mean you can decorate Also the signs should be customizable.

  • Mayor should be able to pay off condemed buildings and add to maintenance pools.

  • Mayor should be able to modify house signs if he/she is on the admin list.

  • Mayor should be able to see who owns which house and how much maintenance the house has.

  • Really want watch tower like buildings (counted as decoration/civic structure), these buildings already exist in the game - at present some are bugged and not enterable/able to reach the top level so that'd need to be fixed. These wouldn't really be GCW structures.

  • Hospitals need to be actually worth having; no point in buffing people in a hospital as buffs hardly last a very long time and wounds are healed in the field. They should also contain an NPC who does cyber-limbs.

  • Swimming pool decoration available in small, medium & large sizes.

  • Event NPCs (Lottery droids etc) should be placable in gardens

  • Streetlamps should not count as decoration but should incur city maintenance cost.

Also I have one major gripe: if you can place a city hall then there should be no limit on the size of your city, I find it an enormous slap in the face that my town will be unable to grow yet dead-cities continue to exisit.

  1. Many Player Cities are affected by condemned structures that will not poof because of the new maintenance rules.

    • There needs to be a time limit on how long a structure can sit condemned beyond waiting for a player's bank account to deplete. There is a fix coming for cancelled accounts, but it is unclear as to if this will also include abandoned structures.

This is one BIG reason why player citys are still no place to meet other players , there are just not enough aktive player in most citys. I build my own city from the first day and took really good care of it . Still alot of ppl i invited to live here just stopped playing and didnt care about their house beeing part of our game forever. Wrap up the house and safe it somewhere for the player ! He lost his spot )8 , well yes, thats something bad for the player but its good for ALOT of other player .

I will do something about this problem now , cause this would safe my fun in swg. Tell me what to do to get this done and i am on it !!!

Updated and retallied up to this point.

If you wish to "vote" for your top issues, please list a short, one-sentencesummary of the issue (if new)or copy over the existing text. If you want to add clarification or expand upon the idea, feel free to do so as long as it is separated from the summary in some form or another. The short summary statement makes it much easier for me to add and sort through information. Please limit your issues to your top 5 concerns/wants.

Here is my Top5 Concern/Want list.

  1. Medium Naboo houses are now useless and their larger footprints make it near impossible, if not completly impossible to change a City Plan. (concern)

  2. A change in housing footprints has resulted in an open city floor plan being unusable as not even small houses can be used to fill the spots left open now. (concern)

  3. XP rates for mayor are too slow. It should not take 8 months to master. Jedi can get full temp faster. (concern)

  4. Taxes not working correctly, nor have theyfor a very long time. (concern)

  5. A feature that allows us to warn players in our city to leave or we will be able to warp them out of the city. (want)

Drachenfire's wish list:

1) DEVS who seek out and listen to mayors and other politicians and act positively in the right direction. By nature most politicians and mayors are active community leaders in their respective communities. We are often "power gamers" who have stood by as cheerleaders for SOE while we witnessed many of our close friends leave the game for one too many "fixes and alterations in the name of game balance". Politicians and mayors have spoken with our members on a far more intimate basis then the oft elusive DEVs. The politican community and guild leader communities need more respect then a DEV leadership which is capricous at best with its leadership and decision making.

2) That said, I would wish for:

a) DEVS to play SIMMs cities, and see all that is possible for a planned community.

b) Terrain modification and the ability to plan permanent features like roads, street signs, boardwalks, bridges, and to place gardens like you see in Coronet and Dearic. It is absolutely ridiculous that player cities, for all the mayors plan for, are pale shadows of static cities. If anything, for people to wish to spend time in player cities, you will have to dazzle them with beautiful cities such as Keren, Bela Vista, Kaadera, and others. People dont want to "live" with unmowed grass in town center, or hear "that filling in the ground outside their house is so completely out of reach and not to be expected or demanded". We should challenge the DEVs to build cities with the same tools they give us.

c) more ways for other politians to grind exp. They should have missions for the communities, even in static ones, such as giving speeches, holding conventions, something other then waiting for a popular incumbant to get bored and frustrated with SOE and the DEV teams and quit the game.

I really do not think... at all.. that SOE and the DEVs really care at all for player cities, or they would have listened and read the forums for some time now. Best we all get used to it and instead wish for thedestruction of player cities and the opening of static cities for player residencies instead. I bet that would be the only way to make a city feel like a city, with the roads and beautifications they already offer.

I am sorry, I feel so disappointed, I thoughtthatthe developement team would consult us first as community leaders on the horrid and unnecessary footprint expansion of Naboo mediums, and the lack of attentions they have given constituency is appaling and they should be ashamed.

Khristen,

Added.

Medium Naboo House Footprint

I am glad to hear about "House Pack" but I can no longer sell these as Mayors will just not allow them. I think that they need to do like a 4x4 instead. It would allow them to be placed back to back, not allow for walls, yet allow the cities on planets with Naboo style housing to use them. SOE has killed my biggest seller in this footprint. This is a Game-breaking issue for Mayors and Architects on Naboo.

  1. A reduction in the Naboo medium footprint size from 5x6 is desired by many Politicians.

    • The change of the Naboo Medium House footprint from 3x4 to 5x6 has created issues in many existing Player Cities. It is requested that the size of the footprint be reevalued and reduced to a smaller size.

Thank-you Khristen

Here's one. There should be some provision in place to keep a crazy mayor from going nuts and destroying a whole city and griefing an entire guild because he was about to be voted out of town. This happened to my city.

Perhaps there should be a 24 hour waiting period for the destruction, destruction notification emailed to the citizens (with a headline "Warning! Your city has been marked for destruction"),andthen anemergency vote in at the city terminal.

Something like this would actually let you vote someone out of office.

from the city management terminal, the Mayor can choose the option "Layout City"

then the view is changed into the structure placement view, with a few changes:
1) rudimentary text box (will be explained soon)
2) some sort of toolbar (will be explained soon)
3) unlike the structure placement window, the viewed area can be moved to any area in the city (with the city limit displayed as a green circle maybe?)

Ok, time to explain. on the toolbar the following buttons are needed:
1) construction not allowed
2) personal construction
3) civic structures only
4) hospital
5) cantina
6) theater
7) merchant tent
8) highlight area
9) Building orientation

by selecting one of these options, the mayor can "zone" a block of terrain into any of the categories.

The first option would essentially make a street or a "no-build" zone.

The second option, "personal construction" allows the following structures: small/medium/large houses and guild halls.

The third option reserves the block for city structures placed by the mayor. to any citizen placing a house, the area would be shown in red just like a "no-build" zone.

The fourth, fifth, sixth, and seventh option are there because these buildings do not fit under personal or civic structures.....they are a hybrid. (i may have left a few out, but any others would go here too)

The eighth option is where the text entry box becomes utilized. the toolbar by itself is not quite enough, because potential citizens still dont know which size of house the area is intended for. click and drag the mouse over the area of blocks required for the structure, and then enter in text such as "Small House," "Guild Hall," etc.....

The ninth option is used in conjunction with the eighth one. selecting a group of blocks and naming them groups them together, and when you hover the mouse over this area while the ninth option is selected, an arrow shows up in the area. the orientation of the arrow is changed by right clicking, just like changing the orientation of the actual house.

i dunno where in the post this should go......but should someone try to place a house of the improper size or in the wrong direction the spot they are trying to put it in should become a no-build zone (thanks khristen for telling me.....i thought i had put it in)

I like the /consent-to-move command that a house owner can give to a mayor so as the house can be moved down the road too!

1. Medium Naboo House Foot print needs to be smaller.
- This foot print really messes up my city. We used to have room to set new houses and such in city limits but now because of this new foot print my city has no more room to place additional houses. My city lay out is also messed up. When people leave and pick up their houses I can no longer place houses to replace them as the houses around that same area take up to much room due to the new foot print. I am dreading the housing roll up as it will leave me with odd spots of open spaces and no room to set new houses. I am afraid I won't be able to repopulate my city with new people, not due to lack of personel or interest, but for lack of space.

2. City sizes should be increased beyond 45m max or at least allowed to continue to grow in space.
- Max of 450m is way to small for some places. Especially with the new Medium Naboo foot print.

3. Starship terminals.
- Allow mayors to place a starship terminal in their city that only residents of the city can access. Do this at level 5 citys or maybe create a level 6 city in which this can be done. Even if there is a limit per planet on how many a planet can hold like the shuttle ports this would work.

4. Veteran Rewards for player cities.
- I would like to see cities get rewards, cool decorations like a tie fighter, x-wing, etc., that will permanently reside in the city. Do 1, 2, 3 year rewards. Not every 3 months like the player vetran rewards.

5. Politican exp should not be based on the # of votes they get, just on the number of people in the city.
- Voting should only effect who is mayor and should not be tied to the mayors exp. 100 exp per resident every week or even every 3 weeks would be fine, but making it dependant upon the # of votes makes it to hard and to slow to gain exp. At the moment it can litrally take years to get master politican. I don't know of any other profession in game that it takes that long to get.
