Thread: Petition To Thunderheart stop a Player City Change.
ok, how do you expect someone who hasn't been on for 3 weeks to REMOVE THEIR HOUSE to make room for new people to replace them?
Also, three weeks is not enough time for an account to be officially "cancelled", and that's assuming structures belonging to cancelled accounts actually DO "poof" on their own.
YOU CANNOT DO THIS TO US....it will result in towns full of empty houses, with NO WAY of removing them to make room for people who actually still log on. You will effectively doom many cities to "outpost" status, with NO WAY of regaining ground in an acceptable time-span.
BAD SOE!...BAD!.... GO LIE DOWN!

Youso, Faellyn and Ackis are right -- the proposed change is a good idea that needs to be implemented.
There is no way that having people create characters on a server and build a house somewhere-- and then never return -- can be justified rationally. The fact is that this is done solely toallow a town to grow larger than it could if it hosted real, live players whomaintain active characters on that server. It's an attempt to get around city growth rate rules, and as suchitought tobe squashed.Finding the city growth rules difficultis no excuse for trying toweasel ways around them.
The "three week rule" seems completely reasonable to me. Three weeks is plenty of time. If you can't log in to a particularserver even oncein athree week span, you don't need to have a character on that server.

and now my reasoning
one of my main problem with it is that most of our server trades are acculy used by our many crafters for storage space...
