I've Been playing this game since the start. And if you dont know Scape, you dont know how hard he has worked for his city. The biggest problem i see is the removal of citizenship, but not the removal of their lots.

We could bring in all the fresh meat we want. if the old lots go inactive, and the range of citizens to city hall shrinks, then there isnt any room for new citizens is there?! I think this idea needs a LOT more thinking put into it.

/sign they should rethink this idea and maybe do something different. The idea is NOT to cause a ton of dev-created problems for the players. I can't see how anybody is affected by players not playing for 3 weeks, so why change it?

I'm sure people creating players on other servers just to benefit mayors on the servers is not that big of a problem, at least not as big of a problem as this would cause if the implement this. Cities are a pain for the mayor, so why cause him/her more trouble.

The game is supposed to be fun, and this is just a pain in the ass. They have so many problems with this game, why is this the top of the list. We have a crappy GCW, missions that are boring and lifeless, and professions that are worthless (especially the poor droid engineers).

They need to put this on the backburner and concentrate on the REAL problems in the game.

I can't believe they're doing this. I am one of the most active players in my town if not the most active. I spent days recruiting people (from my server) to join our town andI was the first mayor too.

I'm going to be gone this summer for 6 weeks; Should I be kicked from my town because I'm going to be away from my computer for 6 weeks? <angry> I don't think so </angry>

ok, how do you expect someone who hasn't been on for 3 weeks to REMOVE THEIR HOUSE to make room for new people to replace them?

Also, three weeks is not enough time for an account to be officially "cancelled", and that's assuming structures belonging to cancelled accounts actually DO "poof" on their own.

YOU CANNOT DO THIS TO US....it will result in towns full of empty houses, with NO WAY of removing them to make room for people who actually still log on. You will effectively doom many cities to "outpost" status, with NO WAY of regaining ground in an acceptable time-span.

Youso, Faellyn and Ackis are right -- the proposed change is a good idea that needs to be implemented.

There is no way that having people create characters on a server and build a house somewhere-- and then never return -- can be justified rationally. The fact is that this is done solely toallow a town to grow larger than it could if it hosted real, live players whomaintain active characters on that server. It's an attempt to get around city growth rate rules, and as suchitought tobe squashed.Finding the city growth rules difficultis no excuse for trying toweasel ways around them.

The "three week rule" seems completely reasonable to me. Three weeks is plenty of time. If you can't log in to a particularserver even oncein athree week span, you don't need to have a character on that server.

Oh no! This could mean bad things for our city. Everyone has worked hard to have all the things worth having in a city and i would hate to see them taken away. Please do not let this rule come into effect.

so anyone that has other things they do in life that extend past 3 weeks doesnt deserve to be in SWG flatfingers? lol. in my opinion anyone that doesnt do something else with their life once in a while instead of SWG should lose the right to the internet. but i have no right to impose my beliefs on you. i play far more than i should, but realize a well rounded life includes many other interests, why should a narrow interest in SWG give you a benifit? whats next daily log ins so only "the truely dedicated" can play? i gave up EQ that i had played since beta because it demanded ( not allowed, demanded) that at the high end game you had to invest hrs at a time to get anything done. ive played SWG in beta as well. i had high hopes for SWG, but many of the bright spots i have seen have been bugged, nerfed or restructured in a way that has caused more problems than it was trying to fix. this idea is headed that way.

The problem is simply too many player cities in my opinion.

and now my reasoning

one of my main problem with it is that most of our server trades are acculy used by our many crafters for storage space...
