SWOOP Territory.

Our city went down on Feb 2, '04. Our guild name is SWOOP and the original concept was a merc biker gang that ran on swoop bikes. So we put down a city hall so we could pull out our bikes (anyone else remember when you couldn't pull out bikes unless you had a camp or player city? lol) around our houses and just head out! It also wasn't registered so it would be harder to find.

Then the guildleader left the game in June of '04, I became guildleader and changed the concept to Imperial Brotherhood, and registered the city for all Shadowfire to see!

Our city is new banir it started becuase we used to live in the north east corner of dantoine which is called fields of banir. The guild Northland allaince also came from us being up in the north corner after a few months and some terrible lag back in the early days we moved to a very sparsly popluated rori made a "new" banir and been there sense

The easy answer.... the guild name has been there since the beginning of the game. Sanctuary city is an extension of it.

We've gone through three incarnations now...

Original Sanctuary city- SW of Theed... which was in my opinion one of the best cities at the time, well run, always active... but it fell prey to intraguild politics and sadly was literally whisked away. Not to mention caused a few losses of good friends.

Valley of Sanctuary- On Dantooine... IMHO we should never have moved there, and when I conducted a poll upon gaining Sanct's presidency people were crawling out of the woodwork to express their dislike for living there. Sanctuary it was said, belonged on Naboo...

So we did just that.

Moved the city, gradually to the beach area I settled with my ingame wife a year prior.

Now we are NEW Sanctuary, beach resort town, Imperial haven, and impatiently waiting for the ghost cities to die so we can get our hard earned level 4 status, as well as the shuttleport we have had sitting in a backpack in city hall.

Volcano Bay on Lok - Ahazi

I did not name this city, i was not around when it was formed, but it has been active since October 2003. The city was named thusly for being close to the Volcano, and we are set in the midst of 2 big round lakes, kind of like a mini Bay of sorts We are a big city now, quite easily the biggest on the whole of Ahazian Lok, and after some very rough times, the city looks great, pop by and visit some time

I'm just a resident of Jamilla's Retreat on Naritus, but I'm the one who helped name it.

The city came to be when I took down the Imperial Housing Developement I was running, and moved my guild over to joining the guild of Bravo. But Bravo City just sounded silly, and being a big RPer I wanted a more Canon name for the city. So I went into my books and started to do some research to see if there was a city named on Naboo that wasn't on the map.

I came back with information on Rivers on the planet, and some districts of Theed, not not any cities. I also sent information about Queen Jamilla (Queen after Amidala, during the start of the Clone Wars). In that information it talked about how Queen Jamilla opened Naboo for refugees of the war. Since the city was becoming a refugee for Bravo, it just seemed to fit. So the city became Jamilla's Retreat. (If Amidala has one, and the Emperor has one, why can't Jamilla.) It also seemed to fit with Naboo very nicely. The decision came about that mutually between myself and the new mayor (who my character is engaged to).

Sweet Water Dantooine on Bria was founded the day of cities going live when we found out nabbo had already been paved by the time we could get a city hall. Went to the MO and started heading north, found a nice spot near a lake to plant the city hall and Sweet Water just seemed to fit the area. Kinna liked the parallels between the old western and us starting out back then when grass vors and janta were more than a minor nuisance to kill in 80% comp armor. In keeping with that image of the more rough and tumble times we left things a free 4 all as far as housing placements and town rules. might not look as pretty as a cookie cutter town layout, but it does have character.
