I literaly threw a dart at a map of the star wars galaxy. landed closest to Ziost, it was a poor throw.

Description:this cold, icy world is dominated by rocky mountains and fierce storms. Much of the planet's crust is imbedded with ice. In ancient times, this planet was part of the Sith Empire, and was used as a base by Ludo Kressh and his faction. Luke Skywalker was able to track the Massassi night beast to this planet, after it was freed from its temple on Yavin 4. It was later discovered that Darth Vader trained the Dark Jedi Lumiya here.
Course we are a Rebel Guild so it doesnt quite fit into our style. But we like the name.

I'm not the mayor of my city, but I am a citizen of it. It's called LAIR's Keep, because LAIR is the acronym of our guild, and "LAIR's lair" would just sound silly.
As of yet, it's the closest city to the Hidden Rebel Base POI on Ahazi!

MOS MOSEL
Our city was one of the first player cities on Eclipse, placed just 15 minutes after the servers was up after the Player City Patch. The name Mos Mosel is taken from an adventure made for the pen and paper RPG MUTANT that came out in Sweden 1986 (I think). The adventure that came with the box was called Mission to Mos Mosel. This name automatically helps old school roleplayers from sweden to identify our town for what it is, an oasis for roleplayers. The name also seemed to fit well for a troubled small tatooine town.

The city I am mayor of is OutCasts, which is a Jedi grinding town deep in the depths of Dant. I didn't name it but recently came into mayorship of the city. The town my guild and I actually live in is called Pale'in Ma-Allesh (Naboo) which means "Travel safely in the absence of the light" in Ryl. It's a mainly twi'lek village.

Temenos is a Greek word. It's an area where one prepares to enter into a temple.
We are located in central Naboo, and the city is built around an unlisted POI. It is an eternal flame surrounded by four pike-carrying warrior statues. That's our temple, and where we got our name.

Light Jedi only, mainly ORC/FIGHT but if you would like to place a house, just let me know. I can't see them having a problem with it.

The first city I was mayor of was Firelake, Talus (Kauri). Named for the neat little shrine of fire in a lake on Talus that we were near. Later, when I was able to make it a stronghold, it became Firelake Stronghold. Much later after the founding guild leader disappeared from the game, we took a vote and renamed the city, "Ockib's Firelake" after him. Then the holo-grind came and much of the guild support vanished, and eventually so did the city. Role-play wise my character, Lady Illyria Makarae, was the last rebel to hold the city when the stormtroopers came to claim it. She fought til the bitter end. (My husband and our friend had just created new characters which were to become stormtroopers, and my character was the last to be deleted and recreated as someone new. It was a very fun scene, if so very tragic.)
Ultimately, I had to let that city go, because my city on another server was flourishing, and I just couldn't handle running two cities and guilds at once. I'm insane, but not that insane.
Now, we're going into about a year and a half of Makarha's Estate (Tatooine, Bria)being around. The name of the city, and guild, is pretty self explainitory, since my character is Kyphi Makarha. The name and idea were choosen even as I created the character. Kyphi is an ancient egyptian temple incense that I've always loved, and Makarha (and my former character of Makarae) also has egyptian roots. The character of Kyphi is a merchant and slaver, and it's her Estate that has grown into a township (and would be growing to a city if there was not a planetary cap), almost completely populated by her employees and slaves.
The full story of how the Estate came to be is rather long and involved, but suffice to say that it was not originally my idea, but my husband's and friends whosaid to me one night as we were chatting about the game and said, "Hey, wouldn't it be cool if Kyphi's Estate become like a one-woman run city, like Nym's Stronghold?" And the rest was history.

Galatorbria.... the guild city for the Gala-ctic Tor-ton Bri-gade.
The founders were all born on Rori and cut our teeth on tortons.

Seaview is Seaview because its by the sea 
The city hall was placed not far from the beach in Northern Naboo and some of our lucky residents do actually have a sea view from their homes.
I did threaten to rename it LekkuVille because we have a lot of twi'lek residents but not everyone liked that idea

Imp Headquarters - IHQ
During the late stages of the first major pvp era (ie pre-CU, there is another large movement taking place now) on Valcyn, those loyal to the Empire realized that numbers had gotten too greatly on the rebels' side.The city that wasonce the heart of imperial pvp might had fallen to a political fallout that left the Empire's finest in splintered groups across the galaxy - truely an Empire Divided. Between those two factors, the entire Empire was on its heels and losing ground daily. Something had to be done, and so it was.
A call to abandon fledgling outposts and villages in favor of a new centralized seat of military power was sent out. Enough key imperial personnel got behind the drastic idea to form it into reality. The intent was to create a compound manned by the most menacing army the Empire had ever fielded. From this new staging point, the Empire would fight back the rebellious insurgents across the entire galaxy. This new city would be the base of the Empire's new war efforts. This would be the Imperial Headquarters(Imp is used in place of Imperial because the game filters the full word out of names). The term IHQ was used in abbreviation so much during the planning and development stages of the project that it made its way into the final name, Imp Headquarters - IHQ.
Today the city is under its third mayor, myself, and 2nd mayor from One Empire (ONE). ONE was formed as several members of another guild left to have their hand in the forging of the new city. We came to the IHQ with a vision of an empire that worked as a single unified force, a vision of one empire. Today ONE makes up more than half of the 100+ citizen IHQ (a fairly large city by Valcyn standards).

Mos Mesric, Tatooine - We got our city name from the Mesric region of Tatooine, adding Mos in front of it just seemed logical. Building the city on a plateau was not. 
but we're doing ok with it anyhow. (wish they would allow me fill in a pot hole here and there, we're a level 5 city but having the extra space sure would be nice).
