I cannot believe all the cities that are dying or hurting for this!

They gotta fix this and fix it soon. I know of at least 5 cities with this problem.

I ended up having to crate a new city for ppl to join because of inactive players. Didn't go over too well with some of the old cities Elders and i ened up losing some friends i made when i came to the city to take over for the old mayor. If we had had this function i wouldn't be going through my current heartache.

As a mayor myself i understand the love that we all have for our cities. I Certanly would never become an inactive mayor but i know of many cities that have gone through this problem. A simple solution is all it would take to rectify this problem. What i dont understand is are they trying to protect something by doing this? If so they dont realize that cities die a slow death for the sake of protecting cities from their own mayors leaving them high and dry. All it takes is a little trust in people to take care of thier cities and and giving us more options such as this one to make transitions run smoothly. I support this option 100% and i hope our voices will be heard!

/sign, /sign, /sign, /sign...this has GOT to be fixed! Mayor's should be able to have the choice to step out if they want to. We currently have a mayor that never plays and wants out...our entire city is "stuck" and we have someone else who wants to run the city *sigh* PLEASE FIX THIS!

I've been the mayor of Fields of Legend, Dantooine, Bloodfin for quite awhile now and I want out. We've got another player that wants to be mayor and its impossible to elect him because of all our inactive citizens. This is bloody ridiculous. Where's the democracy in this system? Put in a resign option, make votes permanent like guild allegiances, or make the system into an actual votewhere theinactive citizens don'tmagically log intheircancelled accounts to vote for adeadbeat mayor every week.
