It's funny but to a degree I agree with what they are saying. Most player cities are butt ugly things and have just been thrown together over time with no thought given to layouts, decorations, etc. Sorry, but random collections of houses with a City Hall and some odd city buildings thrown around do not to me make a decent city.
Some though that I have seen are marvels to behold, work very well as set pieces/back drops for RP or are designed from the ground up with PvP in mind. They are properly laid out with streets and alleys, have extensive parks and gardens, defined zones, etc. These I appreciate and love to visit.
As a mayor, I pride myself on the layout and decorations of my city, and some cities on Valcyn are well worth visiting (especially my own, and moreso the almost completed IHQ on Naboo/Valcyn).

1 Year anniversary reward? Well I'd like it if those things that still don't work would finaly ... I'd like to actually get sales tax ... I'd like to actually be able to use the Theatre ... I'd like to actually decorate the clonecenter and not have everything warp into the clone cylinder ... I don't need new artwork, even more buildings ... I'd rather be able to set up more decorations in the city ... be able to put items on a garden (like chairs to acually sit on, or crafting stations) ...
If there would be anything new I'd like as a recognition of 1 year of work ... then it would be a statue of my mayor char ... a statue for every mayor how held his head high in the job for one straight year

Great Idea Okele,
Next weekend is our cities first year anniversary! We now have the JTL expansion but nothing seems to havechanged to player cities to support it!
I'm still amaster politician maintaining a constant 100 citizen popluation with hosting weekly city hall meeting and sending out meeting notes each week. Our city was the first on naboo and is one of the oldest on the server (Chimaera).
Running a city is alot of work as I'm sure you'll all agree! Equally very expensive with over 100 million already invested into the city and a weekly cost of over 750k what do we actually get for all our hard work?
You may find this current thread very interesting (http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=Chimaera_Euro&message.id=131642) this week on our server is the first year anniversary of a well known guild (imperial) are celebrating in style with the developers providing them with special treatment with there very own TIE Fighters, Bombers, ATAT&ATST placed to mark this special occasion.
I hope I dont sound rude when I ask what do we get for all the hard work we have put into the game?
