I'm still here - mayor since day 3 (had issues getting a deed for city hall), and still active in that role despite backing down from Master Politician.

Acantho here.
Mayor of Dohrian on Talus in the Gorath sector.
Placed City Hall day one... been here ever since. City has had it's ups and downs but we manage. It's hard finding good RPers and we're an RP city.
So if you're also another RP city and would like to join our city in a merger please send me an email in game.
This goes for anyone else who loves to RP.
Long live Dohrian!

I wasn't able to take office that day because Naboo capped within 15 minutes of the server coming up. However, I had been doing civic planning since about a month prior to that patch, and caught the second wave, so does that count?
A good friend of mine took over that account, so the character is still the mayor and I offer advice, but I just didn't have the patience to deal with the amazingly buggy player city system anymore.

Mayor of Jewel on Rori (Kauri) since day one.
Still going for Metropolis (sigh) and still hoping for Moffs to be inroduced.
The Senates has been disbanded, I'd hate to think they'd bring it back.

I'm the same. We founded in the second wave, but I was the founding mayor and continue to hold the position to this day.

We missed out on the land rush, and only started our city 4 weeks after player cities were deployed. However, I am the original and existing Mayor.

I became a politician on June 26th of last year. I built a beautiful city well before the advent of player cities. I was the original Ahazi mayor.
The day of player cities, we planted, building a city to a max population of 100. After some months of this, I tired of having my only SWG character become a slave of the other players and sought to delegate responsibilities, culminating in my resignation as mayor when my real life obligations required me to do so.
My city that I founded, and put hundreds of hours into is now about to lose its shuttle port. The new mayor is non-existant, laughing off all attempts to have her turn the city around. She took my city hall decorations, which easily took me 30 real life hours to emplace, and packed them all into backpacks and dumped them off at a safe house. Though she had told me she would not do this, I would not have minded should she have bothered to decorate the hall herself. Instead, for some weeks, she has kept the hall empty. You can imagine how demoralized the citizenry of my former city are.
For many, the player city experience has been negative. There is little benefit to belonging to a city, in the "make numbers bigger" category. There is little evidence that for the casual player the player city experience has any impact at all on their play or their feeling of connection and immersion in the game. The only thing keeping many of the citizens of my former city there is a lack of desire to move their stuff yet again, just to watch another city fall.
Needless to say, the player city experience has not been ideal. At this time, I am still in consideration of several city mayorships, including Mos Oasis, Athens, and Senia on Ahazi. I am currently roleplaying the Governor-Tyren of the Corellia Sector, and have been mentoring and promoting the cities of the planets of Corellia and Talus on Ahazi. I do this because the politician profession fits my character and my player type well, but I have felt that the failed implementation of the system has demoralized folks for when they actually implement player cities in the game that have some relevancy.
