Thread: How many original Politicians remain?

I was perhaps the first Novice Politician on Bloodfin, but a slow City Hall construction and some land poachers led to us mission the cutoff. We moved into the poacher's radius and were winning the election by a wide margin when they pulled out in the middle of the night and placed a new City Hall elsewhere on planet. We had been in negotiations with them and had assurances that they were moving off-planet for a multi-million credit payoff, but as soon as our last watchdog went afk they pulled stakes and set up south. We got our city during the expansion.
So day-one Poilitician? Yep. Just not day-one Mayor.

I"m technically original.. hehe.. I built the city hall and place it.. turn it over to another PA member, but took it back later

I hoping that the GCW revamp will include some additions to the Politician profession (such as Factional declared cities).
My true hope though, is that they will make the Politician profession a playable one. Meaning that there is something to do other than hold office. Politicians have responsibilities in RL, why not here?

I have been mayor since the first election. On the day the cities went live, I was a master architect and responsible for making our city hall deed. As I was making it, another city founder was getting politician and busting his butt to get back to our site. He placed our hall because we had to race to place on Naboo and it was not feasible to wait for me. After it was placed I was voted in as mayor and have been ever since.

Ive been mayor of Citadel, Lok since player cities went live
And ive been fencer since I started the game on the 3rd day

I wasn't mayor on day one.. but I was the following week, and have been ever since.

We placed our city about 6 days after city launch when tatooine was full. I have been mayor ever sense, and i don't plan on stopping any time soon. even though there is not a lot to do, the position still holds responsibilities to the citizens. (even it its mostly keeping the right trainers up for hologrinders)
I had to give up smuggler (my original goal) and commando (my bread and butter) to keep politician, but it's a sacrifice i willingly made to give my guild, D-X, a real home.
But wow.. Senator Debremi.. I like that sound of that.

Mayor of Travelers Respite on Sunrunner since 1st election and still around. (Like many others on here, I was not available on city patch day to place the City Hall nor did I want to sacrfice hard earned skills for Politician if the cap was reached before our city was placed).
