I'm not sure how it works now but we had our backup mayor getting votes in more than one cityelection. I don't think he was a citizen in those cities. We never were able to get our mayor to revoke citzenship to try this out because we always had to get a new mayor due to one leaving the game. My guess is the mayor will remain in office no matter what unless beat in an election. Maybe our consultant in here can shed some light on the issue. I'm guessing onthis subjectfrom what I have experienced. I have gone through more elections to change mayors than I cared to. Chances are we might have to do it again

On the auto vote it is just that--automatic. Every citizen will automatically vote for the incumbant whether they ever voted or not. It takes an active vote to change this. So inactive players are a vote for the incumbant.

I would like to see citizens have to register to vote maybe once per month before they automatically vote for an incumbant. That way inactive citizens over a month old can not determine the outcome of an election. Mayors will actually have to campaign to get votes

I've been in similar situations... there's nothing much you can do

I understand the concept of why it isnt in the game, but as it is currently.. It only allows 1 person to grief the other hundred people that are citizens of a city...

1 Single person, the mayor can destory the entire city and all that everyone in the city has worked for but yet, that same mayor cannot move 1 griefing individual that will not cooperate...

This just doesnt make sence to me at all... And the fact that even though the CSRs "BAN" someone from the game for their griefing or whatever else, they will not even remove their structures from your city so you have to wait until they destroy themselves... And in the case of certain people I wont mention who got banned and also put 3 years of maintence in their house... That's one hell of a wait...

SOMETHING must seriously be done about this... I don't understand why the rights of 1 individual outweighs the rights of everyone else... There should at minimum be a vote system or allow the mayor to move a house within the city limits.

Another thing that is totally screwed... is if a mayor is ever threatened with losing the election, he can just destroy the city, even though there is currently someone runnning against him... If you ask me, the current city code needs a revamp... like everything else in this game hmm...

Unfortunately, this does not work either... The maximum you can raise tax to is 50% which is still nowhere near enough to rid houses with 3+ years maintenence.. There should be no limit to what the tax rate can be...

There is also very low limits on the rest of the city taxes... Our city loses money even though our tax rate is at 50% with no reimbursements given...

Majority vote? As in 50.1% of the population or 50.1% of those that vote?

We already have issues with replacing mayors and it would seem that population based would make it unusable. But some non grieving method needs to be figured out

I would like to see citizens have to register to vote maybe once per month. That way inactive citizens won't automatically vote for an incumbant without registering. I personally feel the inactive voter is the problem changing a mayor faces.
