Thread: Who hates the Medium Naboo House footprint
Definately screws my city. I used to have room to set new houses and such in city limits but now because of this new foot print my city has no more room to place additional houses. My city lay out is also messed up. When people leave and pick up their houses I can no longer place houses to replace them as the houses around that same area take up to much room due to the new foot print.
I am dreading the housing roll up as it will leave me with odd spots of open spaces and no room to set new houses. I am afraid I won't be able to repopulate my city with new people, not due to lack of personel or interest, but for lack of space.
Drachenfire,
As you can see from Khristen's responses on this I am sure she has already been told NO, and we will just not let it die.
Khristen,
Why can't our issues list be like in other forums? Placed as a sticky in another thread, then deep in the list is not getting the attention. Just wait till they do this to the generics, and you think the 7000 posts for XP nerf was bad. This forum and others will be littered with these.
I will try to keep bumping so that it stays towards the top.
1. It is hardly necessary to continuously bump a thread on these forums because threads don't travel very fast.
2. The issues/wishlist is posted inside the main sticky thread (which says it includes the issues/wishlist, by the way) so that our sticky area doesn't extend down to the very bottom of the page. This also makes it so threads don't fall to the second page so quickly.
Truely, it would seem the footprint should be the in the Top 5 things most needed concerning player cities. The whole aspect of continued frustration by people continuing the posting of grips about this is evident enough. So if the posts continue then I say that it is a excellant xample of how frustrated politicians are by this mess.

It does not matter how many individual threads are started. Doing so will not gain more attention for the issue, it will only make more posts for me to look through trying to consolidate feedback. It's also liable to annoy those Politicians that *don't* have an issue with it, either because they agree with the decision or because they don't live on a planet where Naboo houses are buildable.
There is already a fairly lengthy thread about this issue. Please use that one for feedback rather than starting tons of smaller threads.

To play Devil's Advocate here....why would a Politician with a city on Talus be concerned with this issue? Or one on Tatooine or Lok or Corellia? Yes, it is a major issue to some Politicians but of absolutely no concern to others. If you look closely at many of these repeated threads, you'll find that it is often the same people stating the same thing over and over again and not the huge masses it might seem to be.
I have taken the issue to the devs and it has been added to the Issues/Wishlist with added weight for the extraneous threads. I have brought it up repeatedly in the Correspondent forum. What more, exactly, can be done at this point but wait? Shouting for the same thing in numerous threads both here and in the Cities and Housing forum and any other forum in which you choose to do so is not going to make an answer come any sooner nor get the change you want. I have not forgotten the issue and continue to report it.

Maybe, maybe not. Regardless, it's the people that insist on trying to make walls out of things that were not intended to be walls that cause these kinds of changes. The developers do not want player made walls. That is one thing that will not change.
We might be able to get them to decrease the Naboo medium footprint a bit, but it will never be 3x4 again. And trying to use the ability to make walls as the reason for wanting it to change is probably going to get the request ignored.
The developers are aware of the fact that the 3x4 footprint allowed players to create walls out of Medium Naboo Houses. They are also aware of the fact that Medium Generics can be used in the same way, although not quite as effectively. I have informed them that the substantial increase in the size of the Medium Naboo footprint has caused issues in many Player Cities. I have directed them toward previous threads that have popped up both here and in the Cities and Housing forum about this.
When I hear something more, I will pass it on ASAP.

I dont think anyone here is asking for it to be changed back so they can make walls. We understand that they don't want walls, and that isnt a problem. Making their footprint small will help some, but I think the best solution is:
Make teh exterior smaller/ This doesn't have to impact the interior, and it shouldn't be anything more than a scaling issue like what IDs do to us to make us taller or shorter. Taking the foortprint back to 2x3 and making the building a little smaller outside would create teh gaps and eliminate walls...heck, it would break up existing walls even...that would be a win win for all sides.
