Well as a Mayor of a City in which we are begging to get bigger but cannot get to even a level 3 because of lack of space I am not worried about how much the city cost. If I could pay a million a week to get us to the level our resident size has then I would have the city pay it. There is no short demand for cities right now so the price is right. If you guys cannot seem to get the money together to pay the maintenance I know that my city will be more then happy to take your spot. As many other level two towns would........

Who's "you guys"? Cannot seem to get the money...?

I think the point of this thread is that the Mayor should have the ability to manage the city treasury without having to dump a mill in every week. There are features in this game that are broke, which force citizens to dump more credits into the city. If they weren't broke, the cities wouldn't cost so much. Fixing some of the taxes would be a great place to start. *I recommend Sales Tax...it's been broke long enough.

Bye Bye, Bria

This post cost me $15.

you guys is referring to the people that are not happy with putting money into something enormous as having a player city. This is not small potatos here. You are maintaining a city. Not a house or a group of houses. They should be expensive. Look at it as realistically as possible. Why is your city expensive?

Do you have a cloning center? Do you have a parking garage? Do you have decorations? Do you have other luxeries in your fine City?

If you do then you need to pay for them. Everyone does. It is you citizens civic responsibility to do so. If they dont want to pay then you dont have a city? If you have some that do want to pay and others that dont then you have choosen the wronggroup of citizens. The idea of player cities ,in my opinion, is to create a community of people working together and having a place for all to enjoy. As everything in this game and even in life it comes at a price. It only come expensive when you dont have a solid core of citizens with the same ideas of what you want in mind.

Pappi's city is only 700K a week. That is not a lot when you really think about it. If you group with 6 people you can grab 9K missions and get 54K a mission. That means if everyone gets two missions it is only 1 round and 2 more missions and the city is paid for a week. That is only 6 people of probably 60 or more citizens. If you have multiple groups you could get the weekly payment in less then an hour of playing and still have immense enjoyment of the hunt. Not to mention you can still hunt and get money for yourself. Even the casual player can accomplish that. If you cannot get that done then why should you get a city? Why should you get the amminities? There are places for that type of player. And that is 1K from a Starport.

This game you dont get rights to everything or everyone would have a jedi charecter. If you want a game that gives you the right to everything to want may i recommend getting an Xbox or a PS2 and get a Star Wars game on there. Lets be honest though, you better get a Xbox so you can get the good Star Wars game.

Ask anyone that has been playing this game for awhile and they will tell you that this game is work. But it is work that most of us enjoy very much so. I have put a lot of hours in this game. I have seen so many people come and go because the game did not give them what they wanted. Well that is because you have to go get what you want. A game like this takes effort.

Not to be rude, but if a player city is too much work for you, then don't run one. It is not required to run a player city in this game. If it is too much work and/or not fun for you, then give it to someone else or destroy it.

This is from someone who let their city die, mostly from inactivity, but partially from boredom with it.

Work is a strong word but not a negative word. What I mean as work I mean as time consuming.

There a lot of things broken with the game. It seems to me the devs are not worried about the logistics of the game. They are just worried about the fighting styles. If they dont start looking at content and storyline the game will just lose itself completely.
Pappi maybe you can answer this for me. Do the devs have a content supervisor or anyone that is control of the storyline? Somebody that can not just make the quest but make them all work to one solid goals. All of the quest are driven to stuff and more stuff. Why cant they have a larger goal?

I guess what I am most wondering is what is SWG's mission statement? Do they have a plan of action? Probably the wrong forum for this lol.
