Whoa... Hold on you mean to tell me you all want to be able to wreck ppls strustures... hmmm. NO!!

Give this scenario...

I have a house that has been in place since the games inception and someone builds a city hall near it and thus I am now part of a city...

That person is brand new and decides that they don't like my house there... why should I have to move... Move your friggin city YOU chose to put it there YOU can move yer butt away from there...

Here is another thing... A group of ppl really like that hilltop but me and my friends have homes all over it so a would be mayor places a city hall close enough to wreck all of our houses and does just that... what recourse are we to have with your proposal? NONE this is a way for the old guard to push around anyone as long as they have numbers... I have a situation occurring right now just like that...

NO

No way. We have some buildings we would like to get rid of in our city too, but this is just to much power to give a Mayor. Their is already a wayto forcefolks out of your city, it takes time and patiance and cooperation, as it should.

I would like some tool like this, we are an Imperial town and have faction bases on the outskirts of our city. We have a citizen that was imperial when he moved in, but has since switched sides and is now a rebel. The problem is he has started to attack our faction bases with for xp and fp, and has had a rebel pa join him in his "raid" on our base. Since he is a citizen we can't kick him out of the city. Yes we can kill him using TEFs but that doesn't solve the problem.

removing citizen structures should have been coded in from the start, and what genius decided to grantzoning rights to every gunslinging militia member?

I posted this last week as to how it could be done without mayors being able to grief people:

NO

If they were going to give Mayors the ability to remove citizens or structures then they should not have let CH's be placed 450m from any already placed house. My house has been in the same place for months and now that a group came in and liked that area they are causing major problems for me... on purpose. I don't think that anyone should be forced to move who doesnt want to move.

Problem - People place house in the city to grief the city. They place the house where gardens or streets are going to go, just to screw up the city's layout. Then they leave the game. They quit the game all together, or transfer to another server (which is worse).

Solution Needed...

Suggestions

1. What I'm doing is raising the property tax in my city so that over time we will eat away the person's maintance pool, and thus getting rid of the house faster. (However we have had people place maybe a million credits into their house, and well...that could take awhile. Yes there are people who will go to such an extreme.) The problem with this, is everyone is taxed. The way I handle this, is the active players of the city, I'll pay their maintance out of the city's treasury. The nice thing about this is I get money into the city from those people's houses that would have just gone to the invisable maintance gods.

2. A way to vote to have a building removed if the player hasn't signed in for over a month or two.
(Of course this doesn't stop continual griefers, who will play and earn money just to keep their house and ruin your city layout.) Perhaps instead a vote to have the building removed from it's location. The building will be removed and the player can then relocate it to somewhere else within the city. (Meaning they can't be banned from building.) Atleast then, they can be moved to the edge of town, or atleast out of the middle of streets, etc...

The want for remove citizen isn't to push people around it's to get rid of griefers who you can't cityban.

This is a bad idea - it would be griefable. Some mayors would inevitably construe 'running against me' to be synonymous with 'causing trouble' and start kicking out opponents right and left.

Consider instead my Petition for a "Civic Status" information command:

I know the details would be hard to work out for something like this, but it would be a huge win for mayors to be able to run a top notch city.
