Architects do make City Halls, but i needed to be in front of my own crafting station to build it (the stations in cities are poor)

Ok, now I have a question.
I am now the Mayor of JaGvilla, we had a incumbant Mayor, but then I was voted in. I know that I am the mayor because I got all the emails that told me so, but, I can't seem to get anything to work. It tells me that I must be the mayor to be able to do this stuff. So, ... is this just a bug or what? One more question...hehe... (I'll think of more I'm sure while I'm typing this) How do you get trainers? We can have 3-6 in our Villiage, but I don't know where to get one at. Could you help me with that too....
Thanks

Hey, thanks for the guide! (even though mine was already set up...lol) I have a couple quick questions. First off, what exactly gives you politician xp? I now run an outpost of 10 citizens, and I can't seem to get any XP for anything I do. Secondly, how do I pay maintanaince on the actual city hall? I have plenty of money in the treasury, but cannot seem to find the "pay maint." option on either the city management terminal or the structure management terminal.
Any help would be greatly appreciated ![]()

hey i answered my own question about the pol. xp...i get it every week per votes i have (100 xp per vote toward you)
I still cant figure out the maint. thing...strange
First off, U need a skill to place Trainers.
Secondly, the maintenance is payed when the weekly update comes, and gets drawn from the treasure.
About the Polotician XP points, i have recently started running for mayor and was told the only way to get xp points was to get votes, well i have gotten 15 votes and my xp is only at 400 is this a bug i understand you get 100 per vote? if so somthing is wrong on my end. need help!

I'm concerned about the 150m radius you get to start with it makes you have all the houses bunched up in front of the city hall. I was wondering if anyone has done the math or could help me with exactally how many houses fit into the entire 500m, nowI know this isnt easy without knowing the total # of each house type because of the different foot prints of each size. So if any one knows the footprints of each size of house that would be great. Also the foot print of all the city structures. I am on Tatooine btw. Has anyone with a city at full scale tried to move the residence back from the hall so that there can actually be a downtown aspect? If so could you give me some tips.
In the starter kit there were some errors, I'm sure they have been addressed but I didnt read to much about them in the previous posts.
"Only one last task left to complete your city foundation. You need to settle some residents. You have 24 hours to have 5 (<-- actually 10)people living in your city. As soon as you meet this requirement you'll receive an email telling you so. If there are already houses present then this step may not be necessary.(<-- houses already placed or houses left behind because of the city not making it the first time around will not automatically redeclare the residence to the city, the citizen who owns them must redeclare. Also if you have a player cross server place which i am sure is not allowed places a house and for some reason you lose the city hall and replace it the house will be stuck there taking up space until it is self-destructed.)
Let's go over how to add a resident.
"Because you have enabled zoning rights you need to grant a settler rights to place a house. So target the settler and type /grantzoningrights. This will grant them a 24 hour permission to place houses and other structures within your city. You'll probably want to help them find the perfect spot for their house then issue /granzoningrights again after they have placed in order to revoke those rights and prevent unwanted structures from popping up in your city.
*No zoning rights have to be placed on residence, they only need to declare the structure as their home. Also someone can not declare residence on a home they did not place.
Some more info:
Some items in the politician skill tree won't work until city is at certain level (usually level 3). So, for instance, you can train in the box for listing your city on the global map, but until your city is level 3, you can't list it. Would be nice if training box said this, but it doesn't. So research what you train in before you spend those valuable politician xp points.
Two- if you haven't read these forums, you may not know that citizenship requirements went up by 5 people for each level. So now to start a city you need 10 people in the first 24 hours, not 5. Level 2 is 20 people, etc. f you do not get 10 people by the end of 24 hours, your city hall goes *poof* with all its contents and treasury credits. So don't load up the treasury. If this happens, you will NOT get the deed back, so you just buy a new city hall deed and try it again.
Initial city radius is 150m and houses that are in place before you put down your city hall DO NOT count towards citizen limit unless the owner of the house re-declares residence again after city hall is placed. Declaring residence in house is what makesthe house ownera citizen, but I like to tell them to go into city hall and vote for mayor also. If they have done something wrong (like house is just outside city limits or they've decared residence more than once in last 24 hours) then they will not be able to vote. So this lets the player know they've done something wrong. You can only declare residence in a houseonce in a 24 hour period. If someone places house and then moves it, they will probably have to wait for 24 hours to vote.If a citizen is not on the citizen list (using citizenship reportfrom city terminal) they will not count towards your citizen limit. Also, people who moved in and then out of city do not count.
Politician xp for mayor is generated once a week. The clock starts from the time you initially place the city hall. So if you place your city hall on Wednesday night at 7pm, thenthe day after on Thursday night at 7pm you need 10 citizens, and each following week on Wednesday night at 7pm you will get politician xp, getting 100 points per citizen that is on the citizenship list at the time the election is held. So, if somebody was a citizen for a few days but is not a citizen at that Wednesday, 7pm time, then they will not count. Everyone will know the when the city evaluation date/time is because everyone gets an email saying the election was won by mayor xxxxx. If city has less than 10 citizens at that weekly evaluation time, then city hall goes *poof*.
The mayor can place pretty much anything inside the city hall. I've placed high rating crafting stations in my city hall which everyone can use. Also its nice to have artwork and other decor. Only mayor is allowed to pick up or move items in city hall. There does seem to be an issue about placing things too close to the city maintenance terminal (the one in the back left room).
Most people agree that turning on zoning is good to do right from the start- but you don't have to if you don't want to. I chose not to turn on zoningfor the first 3 weeks so that I could be offline and people could still move in to the city. If you have zoning on, thenONLY the mayor may grant ability to place ANY structure inside city limit (this changes later, but for now, you're the only one) so you have to be available alot if you want your city to grow.
One of the most popular methods to keeping your city looking neat and tidy is to have the mayor actually place the structure and then do the command /transferstructure to the intended owner. I've experienced that it is very hard to communicate to people where to place a house or structure just where you (the mayor) thinks it should be. So, the best way to keep a neat city is to keep2 lots open and have the playergive you their deed, you place it, and then both go inside structure, target the player and issue the command /transferstructure. Works great for placing houses in nice neat rows, and factories in tight groups. You'ld be suprise how hard it is to get people to actually place houses in rows by themselves.
