You have to be joking? I know many folks that have their kids or family members share the same account. The 2nd, 3rd. ect...person obviously plays on different servers...So if the Devs took you up on your suggestion then your right..It would majorly screw over people...The people that dont have ghost accounts.

And yes, this is a work around. How can anyone say that citizen server swapping is any different then server lot swapping. I never server lot swapped even though I was a Master Arch and Isure could of used the ore. This is way worse to the economies of the galaxies. How fair is it that some guy is running 30+ harvesters while the normal player may have 8....Now that to me is total BS!.

Please don't put words in my mouth, I am just saying that it is a possibilty, this is in no way my recommendation of what the devs should implement. The devs are trying to implement a certain set of game mechanics. Players are "working around" these intentional game mechanics (also known as an exploit). The devs of course are going to try to stop them. The more people use server swaps for anything, the bigger target it becomes for the devs to nerf.

It just seems like people are setting themselves up for a big fall here. It has already started here with this inactivity timer, and it will not stop. The people that disagree with the devs should be arguing against the fundamental game mechanics, not fighting for an increased ability to work around those game mechanics - that is the only way you are going to acheive anything that will protect you for the long term. As it is now, if you use an exploit to work around a game mechanic, you are purely at the mercy of the devs for as long as you continue to use that exploit.

I have to agree with the other guys Here. As long as an account is active, they should count as Residents. I actually have 3 or 4 Residents that are overseas doing their military duty. yet that was not taken in consideration for this new rule. now if it is an inactive account that is not paying the 15 a month, Then by all means remove them as residents. But if someone is paying for the game, you should not say they can not take part, just because they can't get to a computer or the internet.

We don't use cross server citizens, but our citizenry hovers at just above 60. In 6 weeks, any 'inactive' players will be gone and we won't know exactly who till then. As mentioned, we are being penalized because a couple citizens are awol, but are real people paying real money to be part of a real city that is endangered because of SOE's poor decisions.
