I feel your pain. Mos Krayt, Wanderhome is dealing with an idiot who dropped a merchant tent in our town square and refuses to move it. Is there something about the Mos Krayt name?

Your issue is much more serious than ours, I wish you success in solving it.

Just for the record, our Mos Krayt is a different city, on a different server, and I am not the **edit** incumbent in this thread.

Just another reason that the city hall should just not be removable by any one player. Either the city goes bankrupt or the citizens vote to disband the city. That is the only reason a city should fail. It's sad that some players actually do this.

There are 'manuvers' available to you (not bugs/exploits), but they're best left unsaid until your election.

Sorry I am fishing for a solution, my and the incumbant mayor are in a Mexican standoff , with him waiting for me to log or drop connect......

Ugh it's trouble maybe you could fool him by logging out 5 min then coming right back in and planting your city hall. What server/planet/city are we talking about too, please. Goodluck. O nother quick thought is to jump into the chat channels and see if you can get a CSR to come in game and deal with this situation immediately.

It's truly sad that people resort to this sort of behavior. Unfortunately it's a hard lesson that you have to be very careful in who you give your mayorship to. Get as many people to /report this person as you can so action is taken promptly.

Bummer indeed. Couple of things I wanted to add.

1. If you post on your servers forum it could be a 2 edge sword...Some other group would then know exactly when to be ready to place there own city hall.

2. If he destroys the city hallyouDO NOT have to be online toplace your own hall. Have a few others standing by with Novice Politician training...Its only a few skill point. All that would happen is that they would be mayor for a week.How we did it originally in that I wasnt able to log on right away.

3. He may have another CityHallalready built with his alternate character waitingin another location orhis girl friend may have it ready to place ...then y'all would really be screwed if your planet is at the cap

4. If this azz destroyed city hall do you really think he would stay on that server?. He most likely would just start a new player on some other server.

5. In addition to contacting CSR's take a Screen Shot of the conversation of him saying this as backup

6. Now this is a tricky one.....Going up until the last minute of the election, have him with one vote ahead of you....right before it have 2 people change their vote....It doesnt mean he still wont destroy the hall right before though.

Another update, it appears the incumbant mayor not only plans to destroy city hall but wait until I am logged off, destroy it and place another one right away so no one else can, and do this to us every week, just because he can.

Until we move away I suppose. The loss of rank 4 city will likely make it so that we dont ever get past level 2 again with the current caps....

That is griefing so report it. What I would do personally though? Kill him everytime I see him and have pets harass and grief him (follow with rude names) on top of doing what I can to find out anything about him so I can spam and grief him in real life.

He will run out of credits quickly (I'll PM you the flaw) so you will be able to depose of him, and honestly do what he would do. As soon as he destroys city hall drop a harvestor so he can't do squat. When you do get your city hall down drop a brazier in it and move a vendor that looks like (and is named as) the current incumbent into the middle of it for all to see and enjoy.

/report you got to get a csr in there fast man! I would not waste time on the boards til you get a crs to contact him. What a POS!

Concerned citizens are monitoring the game for me as I can't get back in till tonight.

The incumbant has now maxxed all the taxxes in town sales tax, shuttleport fees - everything, there was 800K in the city treasury through donations , it looks like he is going to pull a "Prince John" stuffing his pockets with credits and fleeing into the night while the townsfolk are powerless to stop him from running off with their money....

Amazing that some people can turn like this. He may delete his alternate character that was mayor to avoid blacklisting but I will make sure everyone know the identity of his main character and girlfriend ( who is in cahoots with him ). I know that is not nice, but 70 people will want retribution for all this.

File a CSR ticket.

Or, even better, do a /report while you have the other Mayor admitting he plans on destroying the City Hall.

I have had firsthand conversations with the CSRs regarding this tactic and they said it is considered griefing and action can and will be taken against accounts of players who do this.
