Thread: Incumbant facing defeat in election Pulls up City Hall and deletes it.....

Ok in my town I am winning an election by a lot, certain victory by Saturday. The incumbant Mayor has let it be known that instead of losing the city he is going to rip up town hall and kill the city to punish those who voted against him....
Can this be done, is there a provision about not being able to rip up city hall in the middle of an election just because you dont like the result?
Is there any action to be taken?
I have a city hall in case this happens but the Incumbant Mayor plans to do this when I am unable to be online or as soon as I log off....
He can and. such has been the case with others, will. However if it is just a threat now I'd file a report on him and make a CSR ticket since it is a considerable form of griefing. They can't do anything after the fact but who knows during or before.
The only thing you could do to stop it is use militia members to zone in city hall with medium homes in order to prevent the mayor from getting inside however I would hope that it doesn't come to that. Make sure you have 10 homes within 150 meter radius that have members who play often. They need to walk into their home to become citizens again.
There really is nothing in place to keep him from destroying the structure. But watch fro withdrawls from the treasury emails. Also if he does blow up CH just plant one there after he brings the other down. If he is a real AZZ he will plant a harvestor there or a house inplace of the CH and really stick it to you and everyone in that town. If he does that, he may as well cancell his account, cause I bet he wil be hunted till he is dead everywhere he goes!
Well if it does happen I will post his account name, his alt and his gf who talked him into this in the first place.
Good, I hope you dont have to do it, maybe a friendly email to him stating what will happen if he does destroy CHmay change his mind. Nothing like getting 40 emails from people that hate your guts for being a spinless coward to change your thinking on how fun your future enjoyment of the game would be! I think an email would fix this issue. Try it and let us know!
Post on your server forum (ideal heading "Standoff at the Capital") detailing what the mayor is planning on doing and asking/begging people to not place a City Hall on _____ world because of it. In all likelyhood that would work and you'd be free to drop your city hall, to an extent, at leisure while alsogenerating some bad mail and /tells for that guy. Also I'd say you should have a friend get novice politician and a deed and have him hideout nearby in case your isp drops.
Deffinitely do what you can to get a CSR though that is the best solution. Oh and challenge his masculinitey since a scorched earth policy has always been used as compensation for something.

We had a lot of problems and the town rose up to depose the present mayor but he is having none of it, he is committed to fighting this to the end and this is the way instead of stepping out gracefully, the clincher here is that he is an alternate character of one of our guildmembers.
I had our guild leader remove them both from the guild once the plan was found out....
*sigh*
