For those who are stuck with the wrong specialization, you're probably going to have to wait it out. Back in the day, for some reason when I tried to switch from manufacturing center over to stronghold I switched to "none" first. Then when I tried to switch to stronghold it gave me the 6 days 24 hours thing.

I got a CSR to come in game and try and change it himself and at that time the DEVs didnt give him the ability to reset the timer or even change it manually himself. This was about a good month or so ago so perhaps a CSR can help now.
