I kind of inherited a city on wanderhome. The mayor we had just kinda disappeared with out warning. My question is..I am 2/2/1/0 I know I can place a shuttle, bank terminals. Now the city numbers have shrank and for some odd reason the boundaries are shifting. We need to be able to pull our city together some how so that the existing residents dont have to mve, and we can fit the new guild in. I hear that If I remove the CH it will go poof. If I move the shuttle, and bank, will that change the staus of the city..or until we actually lose folks will the city remain as is other than the few move to the bank and shuttle. We would like help if possible, we are an active group and dint se this one coming. If we could just get the hall pulled up closer to the rest of the residents would help us greatly..alot of taxes are in the hall, I'd hate for it all to go to waste due to someone else's selfishness. and I'd hate to make folks move who have been established for several months now and have made a home where they presently are. Anyone else dealing with that. Is there a simple way to keep it together till we recoupe our active folks...Im new at this so anty help would due. Thanks.

Moving civic structures does not affect your rank.

You may lose shuttle access until the next update though. But move it just prior and you should be ok.

You cannot move the hall so if you want to fit more people then people will have to adjust their houses.

Look in the stickies, there is a city planning tool. Map out your city. See what the options really are. City planning is so very important.

Exactly.

City Ban results in the banned player being unable to use civic structures. The shuttleport, (in or out) bank, or enter civic structures such as city hall or the cloning facility. I'm not sure on mission terminals having never been banned myself but I would doubt they can be used as well.

It's true effectiveness is on people that are looking for a fight in factionally aligned cities as well as making it more difficult for others to grief your town and not a true martial law type approach to the problem like /city warn was.

Well the thread is stickied to the top so it doesn't need to be bumped, we just need to get more questions asked in here and the answers. Or one of us needs to break down and write up a complete FAQ instead of continuing this.

Don't look at me, I'm stubborn and have a bigass project due tomorrow.

I'm a new mayor and can't find an answer to this question anywhere. My sincere apologies if it has been asked and answered in the past.

One of my citizens had a house on a different planet. They got a politician to drop a hall and start a city. An email has now been sent out to everyone in our guild asking them to put down a house there and declare citizenship, since it is possible to be a citizen in two player cities.I have always assumed thatyou can only declare citzenship in one city. Before I send out an email telling everyone that they should only do that if they want to leave our city I wanted to be sure.

So, can you be a citizen in more then one player city?

Thank you,

Er'I

It's been a little while since I encountered this. I don't recall seeing a fix for the situation other than the option to revoke citizenship on the city terminal, but I also have not encountered the same circumstances that allowed it. I'm not really in a position where I can test this, either, but maybe someone else has information or can check it out.

This is what I had encountered: If a player is a citizen in city A and then picks up the house that he had declared residence in, he is still a resident of that city according to the city citizenship roll. The player could then place a house in another city and declare residence there and join it's citizen roll while still showing on the other. Not sure if it happened by just declaring residence somewhere else or not.

Regardless of whether it still *can* happen, it's not something that *should* happen. Meaning it's a bug and to take advantage of that bug is an exploit of the system. The "revoke citizenship" option was put in so that a player could work around the bug and actually leave a city.

EDIT: I have confirmed that if a player removes a structure from the city that they are a resident in that they do in fact stay on the citizenship rolls as listed from the city terminal. We had a citizen leave a few weeks ago, and I just saw their name still on the citizen list even though their house is gone (they only had the one structure that they had declared in). Whether or not that player has moved to another city or not, I don't know. I'll have to follow up with her.

Yes but you don't necessarily get kicked off the cities roster as a citizen.I have friends that split off from a guild in the town and started their own guild on Dantooine. They now have a rank 4 city. He still is a declared citizen in my town since I never really bugged him to unregister. We've got over a hundred active people so it's not like I"m propped up on false members and his house is in the new town and declared there so if it ever gets fixed he stays part of that town. There's really no reason for him to waste the time that I can see so I just ignore it.
