Some citizens in my city started a player event that was interesting. A rumor came in the form of an email from another server that my life was in jeopardy and that certain people in the town wished to overthrow the mayor and the militia. After I got over being paranoid, it ended up being a lot of fun. I wasn't hurt it any way, physical or professional.
I do agree that bringing in political intrigue to the city's adds a lot of everyone's game play experience. Good player run events can do this. Although the event in my city wasn't a bounty, it definitely made life more interesting while it was going on. My politican character is a tailor with no combat skills, so any bounty hunter would find the kill most boring.

I like that idea of non-lethal bounty missions.
"That means no disintegrations bounty hunter."
speaking of which, why don't BH's get certified for Disintegration Rays?

Well, there are lots of things in this game I'd love to see happen.
I'd love perma-death. I'm a roleplayer and I've met people who say their name is one thing but their char name is another. Why? cause apparently their main char died. I personally think that blows.
Second, I'd love for the game to be PvP. I'm sorry but the Star Wars universe is supposed to be rough and dangerous everywhere you go. Not happy go lucky. Right now it's like "can I fight you?"
"ummmmm no! I don't want to die"
"oh in that case I'll just go somewhere else and hunting something I've hunted 1million times already. Thanks though"
That is not Star Wars!!!
Third, I'm a politician, musician, entertainer. I have little combat experience or abilities. But I'd be all for some kind of bounty on politicians. I think having politicians assassinated would be cool! But at the same time I'm all for bounties on all players. Not necessarily because a player put the bounty on them (I don't think that would fly) but because the player has done something to make the empire give one. Something that has a lot of benefit BUT the benefit is lost as soon as the bounty is fullfilled.
Bring on more bounties, bring on more danger, bring on a death that means something.

Technically the Dirsrupotr Rifle is 'supposed' do desintigrate people...but they nerfed it in concept and gave it to the rilfeman.

I say bring on the bounty hunters!!
Oreet isn't a defenseless Mayor. I don't speak very softly, and I carry a VERY big stick.
With all the BH's i've killed, I wish there were bounties on their heads.
but, I can see huge problems with this since most politicians are typically crafter accounts.
