Stop stressin' and have some fun Let's do Geo Caves sometime this week

doc's jealous that I"m "cheating on him with other mayors", specific "that laeren guy again" I also plan on doing the hero quests some time, and maybe even more hunting. I spent last night dancing on Bria and got novice dancer, and it was fun I got tips and everything... but if someone called "snowbunny" comes here to complain about me, she kept asking us for money and wouldn't take delivery missions. I got pissed off after a while and told her off O.o

ur so good at turning story's around arnt you
i asked it twice b/c i wad broke and needed to buy an instrument and perhaps some clothin, and u said it in a way saying i MUST take delivery missions wich is pretty lame, and then u come show off that ur some corrospondent, i dont care if people believe me on this or not, or if they believe you, but all i can say is ur pathetic

Hello everyone. This will be a first for me as well. Always wanted to post here, but running a city & PA keeps me hopping non-stop. In addition i work around 60-100hrs a week in RL. So usually when i get home i jump straight in game rather than spend to much time on forums

Syn City & Syn North.................Naboo, Radiant

Syn City is actually comprised of 2 cities.........Syn City & Syn North. Both cities are Tri-Faction. Both Mayors are RL friends and keep in RL conduct about city happenings. Even though these are seperate cities, we consider them to be 1. The Mayor being Syynn -------> Steelheart's Alt(Syn City) & the Deputy Mayor being Clavios (Syn North). Both districts have a 5% sales tax and a 10% structure tax. Neither City is made up from cross-server swapping. To simplify things a bit i'll refer to them as districts for this writing.

Syn City District

Rank - 5

Guild Halls - SYN, CoE, & STING

Citizens - 110

Structures - 300+

Treasury - 31mil +

Weekly Expences - 900k

Weekly Revenue - 1.5 - 2mil

This district has a strict enforcible "no-fire" policy. Faction killing or bounty killing are strictly prohibited here and will result in a district ban if the first warning is not heeded. Players tend to respect this policy due to the available buff houses and vendors here. A cityban always includes a ban from the buff houses as well.

This district supports itself with citytaxes. The Treasury is currently at 31mil and climbing.

This district is a commerce district. There are 40+ vendors throughout the city and most are always stocked. On an exceptional night the town green can have as many visitors in it as Theed does on a bad night.

There are 3 PAs that reside in this district.......

SYN - Tri-faction

CoE - Coalition of Entertainers (awesome shows!)

STING - Imperial PvP PA

Syn North District

Rank - 3

Guild Halls - NWO, BT, & FoE

Citizens - 45

Structures - 150+

Treasury - 1mil +

Weekly Expences - 450k

Weekly Revenue - 200k

This district is considered the "seedier side of town". There is not a no-fire policy established here. People come here to take care of business then leave. This is also the home of Avenia's Buff House (server reknowned*) and the BHG (bounty hunting guild).

Syn North district is currently supported by the SYN PA and is about 250k in the red each week. This figure is getting better and better and i expect it to start supporting itself soon

I hope that i did this right and also hope i have more time for future posts.

"I can't believe the band cancelled," Nazz Ar'Khan murmured to himself as he waited at Nym's for a ship to Theed. At least he was in good standing with Nym. The last thing he needed right now was to be hassled by the group of guards that were stationed at the starport. In the old days he might have gotten into it with them for fun, but his combat skills had faded much quicker then he expected since becoming mayor of the Lokian Abyss. Those days were long gone. Thankfully the patrol passed by paying no notice of him or the others who were waiting to get wherever it was they had to go. Since he had to wait, Nazz decided to review the upcoming events of the day, and try to not lose his temper about the last minute cancellation by the entertainers.
Today was the day celebrating the Lokian Abyss becoming a metropolis. A short inauguration ceremony officially transferring power from Piah Moonshadows to himself, and a party afterwards. Simple really. The ceremony was rehearsed, the fireworks display was all set, and the cantina was stocked with goodies. One problem remained. There was no band to entertain the guests. Nazz had just gotten a message from Peasleblossom that her group would have to stay late at another performance she had booked earlier for the same night. She was sorry but she couldn't make the party. So here he was standing at Nym's trying to get to Theed to find some new performers before the event started. Sure the city had musicians, but he wanted a real band for the party. If it wasn't for the last minute, nothing it seemed would ever get done.

"Peasleblossom's band puts on a good show too," Nazz said out loud, making one of Nym's guards take notice and getting an eyebrow rise from a well-dressed Zabrak female who was standing next to the ticket collector, "Don't mind me. I am just tired of waiting for the shuttle. It's like watching your stats migrate. I need a ship," Nazz said trying to cover as quick as he could.

"I hear that. Yeah me too," the Zabrak said and went back to whatever she was doing before being interrupted by Nazz's non sequitor. Something about that voice was familiar, but it wasn't important right now. Getting to the Theed cantina and finding new entertainers was what's important. The ship came in for a landing and Nazz gave his ticket to the protocol droid. Just a quick trip to Theed and back to the city in time for the ceremony. The timing was going to be tight, but he knew this kind of thing came with the territory of being the mayor of a large city.
As he boarded the shuttle something caught his eye. Was that Zabrak carrying a lightsaber? All of a sudden Nazz's old bounty hunter intuitions went off like an alarm bell. That voice was familiar all right, but it was different when not spoken through a composite helmet. That Zabrak was Trinity of REIGN. Nazz thought it was an ominous sign to cross paths with her here, but he had to let it go for now. First find the band for the city, then he could deal with his unfounded fears. Anyway, the trip to Theed was a good time to practice his speech for the ceremony, and try to figure out what he was going to say when he got to the cantina. Nazz's bounty hunter days were all behind him now. The city of the Lokian Abyss was what was important. Nazz knew his future was in politics.

On Sunday July 11th 2004 the Lokian Abyss, located on the Abyssal Plains of Lok (Starsider) celebrated going Metro! As of writing this we are now 99 citizens and still growing. All the events of the evening would make for a long post, but suffice to say a good time was had by all! For those who like to follow the political beat here are some highlights.

The ceremony itself was a brief symbolic transfer of power that had some unexpected guests. Trinity and some other members of REIGN (who most graciously apologized for interrupting our event) had tracked an overt rebel to the front steps of our city hall. When the smoke cleared the ceremony wrapped up with one of the best fireworks shows I have seen on any server and the party began! Special thanks to HALO for the fireworks and punch and pie for those in the right place at the right time.

I was able to get a musician in Theed after all, and our after-party was graced with a performance by the legendary Bluesbakka himself (May the force always be with that talented Wookie for being in the right place at the right time) who gave a stunning performance backed up by Meelina, her sister and some local musicians and dancers from the LA. Folks from all over the galaxy came and the evening was well attended. By the end of the night I even saw Trinity herself shopping in our commercial district and finding exactly what she was looking for. Like I said, a good time was had by all! Don't be a stranger and feel free to stop by the LA for a look around. Maybe you will get invited to our next event? You never know who might show up.

So If you like to shop, come to the Lokian Abyss on Lok (Starsider) and stop by our visitor's tent right across form the shuttle and check the list of all our vendors with the coordinates of their shops. Take special note that Steve Donos, Master Droid Engineer and leader of WLP has a fully stocked vendor at Firebird Robotics with the latest and greatest in droid goodness.

Hope to see you soon,

City of Rogue, Corellia - Flurry Server

My term in office is coming to a close. The citizens of Rogue have spoken and they no longer want an Imperial running a Rebel city and I will be voted out next election. After leaving the guild and the rebel faction, they had a hard time voting me out, but this week we finally did it! So congratulations to Mayor Kharrell, the new Mayor of Rogue!

Starsider, Tatooine, New Republic City

after many weeks (or has it been months?) of trying, Mayor Sable has finally gotten herself unelected. we almost had it a week ago - through a flurry of rousting moved-away citizens who were still on the rolls and some eleventh-hour new citizens, we managed to get the votes to 39 for the incumbent, 40 for the challenger. then, with maybe 5 minutes to go, suddenly the vote was tied at 40-40! we never did figure out who that last person was -- probably a good thing too, as Sable would have tried to strangle them

strangely enough, the election results email named the challenger as the incumbent, so we thought maybe it had worked anyways, since for a time he had more votes. sadly, it allowed him to register as a candidate, so we knew that wasn't the case.even more strangely, it turned out that even though Sable was still the incumbent, Arrick got all the default votes. we held our collective breath and waited a week for the next update -- finally! success! Mayor Sable had passed on the reigns of office to Arrick and she was free

who knows what adventures will happen next....

Yes, that happened to us. Too strange!
