oops, uh, yeah... I'm not late, I'm just... uh... *hide*
I've been trying to relax a bit with city stuff, after delegating a lot of my responsibilities to my militia members. trying too hard, I guess... I kinda forgot I haven't delegated someone to do this thread
I grabbed my boyfriend and made myself a mayor's office
just a note... I'll say this one more time. I know most, if not all, of the politician issues. no, I can't force the devs to read the forums, and spamming to get their attention will result in *me* getting a headache. yes, I do read ALL the posts, but the longer it is the less I pay attention O.o I know it's frustrating, trust me... I KNOW. it's even more frustrating for me, since I have to worry about ALL of your cities, as well as my own, plus it's discouraging when there's no indication that the devs are reading my posts on politician issues. /sigh...

-- This week in Aurora --
General News:
Aurora continues to grow. We are forced to delay the reporting of the 2nd Aurora all-citizen survey due to the Mayor being overrun by real life work responsibilities. However, the result will be posted when he can escape from meetings and biz travelling. We have added 10 more citizens to the city and are larger than ever before, even after the PA KKFOS decided to leave our community for newer horizons. We wish to extendour wishes for their continued success as they move on.
The city's base defense wall is due to be completed sometime this week with the likelyhood of base placement for sometime in the next 30-60 days depending on the state of the GCW on Flurry. The community looks forward to the re-establishment of a rebel military presence within the boundries of our city.
City Mall and Merchants:
The Aurora mall continues to offer high quality products, at low prices and is only a 1 minute ride from Moenia, or a quick shuttle trip through the Aurora Shuttle port. The vendors are restocked every few days and the city is seeing a steady stream of customers to our citizen's vendors. With such great vendors asJor'ans Resources,Boceifus's weapons, Woseu's Armor, Cuk's Food, Ackac's Droids, Hadrian's Deeds and Furniture, Agoln's Meds, Yhaigs Clothing, and all the numerous miscellaneous vendors, Aurora is able to offer high quality goods and products at low prices. The mall is on the western edge of town and is currently undergoing some redecorating efforts as we refine our look and feel to better suit the shopping needs of our customers.
Aurora has identified an area of our community where we are placing some merchant tents. This area will grow with new merchants. Currently we have a new weaponsmith and a new tailor setting up shops. Details for these exciting new mechants will follow as we get them.
City Finances:
Aurora continutes to run slightly in the red -- 50,000cr or so. The mayor covers this deficit spending so that the city can continue to enjoy its beautifful gardens and decorations. We have reduced our taxes so that the citizenry carries less of a financial burden and can better enjoy there limited online time.
City Governance:
The city council was unable to meet last week due to an unexpected illness forcing the Mayor to cancel the meeting. A new meeting time has yet to be announced.
City Event Guide:
Finally, several guilds are continuing to run weekly hunts out of Aurora. BOTD and E-Den have standard hunting nights and all folks are welcome to join them. Check out the discussion groups at www.swgbotd.com. Aurora is planning a party for the evening of the 25th. The PA BOTD is pleased to be sponsoring this party and looks forward to a great turnout.
That is about all that is happening this weekin our great community.

Overall the city is doing good. We were told that our city is capped so we are stuck at a rank 2. We are hoping that we will be able to rank this coming election (Sunday).
Our treasury is doing wonderfully. Only one issue though, it didn't balance this week. I added and readded and re-added and it still didn't. My citizens aren't getting their "your taxes have been paid" emails. So, trying to figure out where I'm going wrong.
That's all it for now. Not much going on in the city. It's been rather quiet the last week or so.

Dear Pappi:
Stop stressin' and have some fun
Let's do Geo Caves sometime this week
City of Rauha, Naboo (Starsider)
Well, I've finally gone and done it. I am having an alt run against our current mayor. I've gotten good support from our populace that I've managed to talk to, but there are a lot of summer idlers that haven't gotten back to me this week. Oh, they're not "inactive" per se, just that a lot of them I only see 1-2 times a week, checking on their stuff, then enjoying their summer. I can certainly understand that, and I expect a lot of them to return more often as the summer goes on.
In other news, I spent most of this week filming my new video. More details later, but I'm hoping people like it. I got a good response to my decorator videolast week (to the point of it crashing my web hosting and a slew of nasty emails from my hosting company), so hopefully this one will cause a smile or two.
All in all a pretty calm week. Let's hope it heats up as more people check their emails (and hopefully change their votes).

CITY OF FARPOINT, DANTOOINE, TEMPEST:
Well, we finally acheived rank 4 and the coveted shuttle. Considering we are about 4.5km from the Mining Outpost, this is big milestone. We've also placed a hospital and at the suggestion of one our citizens, I have created the Crafter's Hut. We have 4 crafting stations inside for public use. This will be an even better thing once we become a Research Center on July 23rd.
A couple of the local merchant will begin an aggressive advertising campain today to bring people to our city and specifically the Farpoint Mall. In addition to having droids we will also be passing out tickets to people at the Mining Outpost. This should help to boost the sales.
The Sentinel guildmaster decided to take a break and his successor has not been named. We are currently looking at spliting into two guilds: The first would be of a more martial nature and be led by a tribunal. The second would be a city guild, likely to be run by me as well. This week we will also establish a city council.
The city beautification efforts have really come around. Exiting the shuttle, a visitor would be greeted by a view of two Naboo Gazeebos and the Dantooine Meditation garden behind. Walking north through the courtyard, visitors would walk past the fountain garden and other and the fountain of contemplation hightlighed by green lights in the evening. The city is in no way cluttered. The courtyard is expansive. There are several 'streets' in Farpoint and you could literally hop on your speeder and drive from the north to south end of the city with out any obsticals.
We are still currently seeking citizens, Rebel or sympathizers, and may soon be entering the GCW under the direction of the tribunal.

City of Farpoint, Tatooine, Starsider
City development:
We have finally achieved our main goal within the last two weeks: To upgrade vom a struggling city with 55 citizens to a bursting Metropolis with 90 Citizens. (Yeeehaaaa !
). The urban planning and the nice setup made it possible to settle in 3 mayor roleplay guilds from our server, so the city is alive indeed.
Citizen Participation:
Our Citizens love the city, they support me in any way. Most interesting thing is, that our efforts into developing a thriving community with different roleplay plots have been seeded and started to grow. Our first Roleplay Event (The mad Scientist) has developed very well and will of course have consequences in further chapters.
City Council:
I have called a citizen meeting to form the council tomorrow, so I am looking forward discussing and starting to take care of the city treasure and taxes after that (So far I pay the expenses myself).
Features:
We added a player driven Cantina concept with paid jobs for entertainers and bouncers. The manager of the cantina we wanted on the Starsider Forums has shown to be doing a great job. Also a city decoration contest with the reward of having a sentinel statue in front of the house with engraved "Winner of House Decoration Contest MONTH/YEAR). The City Police (Stormtroopers) have gotten their jail and already almost finished decorating it (even cells for jailing criminals are there !). The player Bounty system and job market will soon be active. The regular Fight Night at the Blood Bowl Fighting Pit is under new management and will be adding even more fun for fighters and gamblers (betting allowed). A private "entertainement" club will soon be open by a dancers guild.
Overall weekly motivcation: VERY HIGH ! Yay, I am excited about the people in my city and the work they do !

Hello everyone,
This is my first post on a "This week in politics" thread.
NAR EMIKI, CORELLIA, CHILASTRA
We are steadily increasing our citizen population, reaching 70 this week. A few months ago we had reached Metropolis size and then slipped to the mid-60's in numbers. Our new citizens seem very active and motivated and should prove to be a benefit to the town.
The Agrilat Circuit Swoop Track begins and ends within our borders. We are currently trying to figure out a nice way to decorate that area and to have a city-sponsored Player Event around it. So far its brought in a large amount of foot traffic that our crafters really appreciate. The track itself is really great- very fun and bringing in new people who had never ventured to our area of Corellia.
I did a monthly maintenance check on the player houses I am an admin on. Some were pretty low, I ended up paying around 225K to keep them up. Some houses belong to forgetful players who I know will reimburse me. But there's other people who play really infrequently. I appreciate the fact that they are citizens, but its beginning to really cost me. And there are some players who just can't be on a whole lot, or have been called away for an extended period of time- and they've let me know this ahead of time. I am more than happy to help out- I know how life can get.

I got tips and everything... but if someone called "snowbunny" comes here to complain about me, she kept asking us for money and wouldn't take delivery missions. I got pissed off after a while and told her off O.o

Well I have not posted in quite awhile. Lymbo City, Dantoine on Chilestra is no more but since I could not redeed the City Hall and we are luckly still a shuttle drop. Thank you too allof the players on Chilestra for not rushing to put Cities on Dantoine. It is only a one way trip to our city but it still works.
Well to clarify we are not really a city anymore. We have people that left the game a long time ago or just dont play. They have houses in the city. Nobody lives there but we have 25 residents if that makes sense. So since the city hall is up the name of the city is Ruins of Lymbo and the city hall hopefully a Jedi Temple with a Melee fighters ring. It has a Jedi Council room and a Jedi Library. I hope we get those NPC's that can converse because then I will have them outside with stories.
I am paying for the city and everything myself now. With only a few things around it is 100K a week. No big deal. We have a cantina so you can heal there and all. I hope everyone can stop out. you can do missions out of Mistmore and stop by the Temple and get missions for the way back. If you would like me to place a trainer out there for you just let me know. I can always add some. As long as a slot is open. Just send Jerdeta a email and I will try to accomadate. Tell your friends about that. I think it is a nice free service I will provide when I am on.
Flame me all you want I know I just rambled lol.
