The first guy said in the first post that there have been people who have said they stay mayor, but there is a chance the city hall will be destroyed. What more of an answer do you need?

thats not proof. thats some guy saying he heard something from somebody. i want a link to a dev post before my city risks something like that.

like i said, i deal in facts and not opinions.

thats like me saying: yeah i heard this one jedi unlocked by going to dant and doing an npc mission from a droideka NPC.

how credible is that? god **edit**... i don't even know why i bother explaining things like that to the children here....

i don't see any devs in those. all i see is people talking about bugs and stuff(which usually means they don't understand what happend, or the real rule).

are you telling me no one on this board has ever asked the devs this question, and had them answer it?

Look, you obviously dont know the english language

Opinion- I like being mayor. Gurrcats are the best. CH has been Nerfed way too much. (these are showing someones personal views on a subject)

Fact- I bought a new rifle. I heard Publish 7 had AT-ATs. (the person is stating that someone has told him about the AT-ATs, He is not stating that the AT-ATs are being put in,this may be unproven but it still is a fact)

This isa fact, it may be a wrong one, but it is a fact none the less. He may have heard that from somebody and it could be possible that he did do that (using our better judgement, we assume he is either mistaken or lying, but it still could be quite true that the you (in this example) had heard this from someone). It is up to you to decide if what he speaks is the truth or not, if you deduce that he is lying, then disregard his comment and move on, but it is quite possible that the truth is being told, and your just being an ass.

no, genius. him hearing about publish 7 from some unknown guy somewhere regarding AT-ATs is not a fact. its hearsay.

my last thread there was a player STATED that he did infact drop all skills including novice and still won the election.

and yes.. no Devs or Correspondent thus far (not that I can find) answer this question.. but this question is asked MANY time..

Opinion: I think the devs or correspondent do not wish to answer at this time mainly I think it will create a new "bug".. imagine able to free up 15 extra points (novice skill) and still be mayor.... a lot of player might start doing this if it was well known and WHAT if the dev fix this so you HAVE to be novice politician to keep your city.... and send out a patch.. and next thing you know.. CHAOS... cities falling left and right..... so what people do?? using alt char to be mayors... get everything they need and drop to novice (but stay novice) to keep the city...

it is a risky venture if you think about it.. I personally won't test this with our city..

there has been many post that players feel that spending 77 points for a profession at this time is not worth.. our correspondent even put it in the top 5 to get an answer (and we still don't have those answers)

I Love edit button: actually AT-AT ARE on test center..... so those exist

which I will cut and past from what he said Exactly.

I dropped all of my Politician skills, including Novice Politician and I still won as the incumbent Now I get to be mayor of our town without useing up any skill points.

Of course, the Resign option would be nice. In the mean time I get to go back to working on other skills since I can't help my citizens with placing and removing trainers, etc.

That is the clostest answer I can get... your best bet if you message this person and ask him directly.

P.S. For a "smart guys calling me a noob.... did you know you can use the "edit" button" also.. have you notice that if you name is "faded blue" you are a vet... vs "light blue" you are not.. thus do not have the edit function"

SS, to put it plain and simple, there IS no concrete evidence of what happens if a player surrenders novice politician while they are mayor.

We have some folks who say that nothing happens except the player retains mayorship, and some folks who've made an educated guess that the City Hall will vanish without a Mayor who has novice politician.

The only way to know for sure one way or the other is if someone who can be trusted actually tests it out. Unfortunately, to test such a thing would be costly.

You want to know with certainty what will happen directly from the Devs, well, so does everyone else. Doesn't mean we'll ever be told, though.

True about the hearsay, but ask yourself this. Does that make it any less 'the truth'? When you watch read a newspaper, what are you doing? You are hearing a reportors account of an event in which he knows about from talking with other poeple. Do you consider these "facts"?

It happened to my city on Tarq.

However, seeing your attitude here, I'm not going to give you the answer. And you better not be Remo from the Beta days.
