Ok, let me put it more... 'constructively'. Being a mayor requires a certain amount of responsibility and organization. In order to make a large, productive town, you must posess those qualities. Typing errors and simple mistakes, like 'i' rather than 'I',and other things like not putting a question mark after a questiontend to make people take you less seriously, and also your ability less seriously.

You know what's even more important than all the stuff you mentioned? Being a personable, understanding public figure. Not sure how the hell you managed to get a city going yourself, every post of yours that I've read has been filled with bile and banal remarks. It's a wonder your citizens don't vote you out.

My citizens are throughly screened... as in I prefer ones that are not lazy and somewhat mature... I am a lot more constructive with those who deserve it. You can tell a lot by the way one types, among other things, like how they speak IRL... would you trust a doctor to operate on you who said: 'operation will hurt little'? Your speech and or typing reflects upon you and your intelligence quite a bit.

I come to these boards to find answers to questions I have about this game. I really could care less if people leaving positive, constructive, and informative posts spell properly 100% of the time. It bothers me even less if they bother to check for typing mistakes. I am getting sick and tired of having to read through post after post of this petty picking at people. It is rampant across these boards. Those who engage in this childish ridicule really need to get a life and assess there own self-esteem and emotional health. Don't be such a jerk Rofak. You would never get the chance to "screen" me for your city. Who do you think you are? People like you represent the negative in this game and society as well.

eh, i use "i" all the time instead of "I",, and i'm a mayor (of a decent-sized city too.) i try to use proper grammer and check my spelling before stuff like sending out a formal letter or writing a serious post, but this is just a question... give him a break.

now if he's posting "wehre are i go too train polatition",that would be a completely different story... wow, that was hard to type o.o

I don't think that there is really a "guide" to starting and running a city. But if you want to know how to start one you first need to search the planet that you want to start your city on for a good location that will be easy to build on (doesn't have a mountain cuting off your city construction 70m out). Then find an Architect that can make a City Hall and let him/her know what planet it is for. Next, this would be wise but doesn't have to be done, go find 9 people that will join your city and can join within 24 hours from when you first set up the hall. Then you go to your location and set up the city hall that you purchased earlier on.

I dont want to flame ya :-) Search is your friend....

But might I suggest you find a nice already built city and become an active citizen in that. Work with the mayor , see if you can be a help in any capacity..learn about city operations and such ... beside if your server is anything like Scylla, there are to many cities...

Help one of the Mayors that already have an established city become even beter with you added to the community....

Hi Jaluk,

To begin, I highly recommend reading the Advanced Guides at http://starwarsgalaxies.station.sony.com in the "Manual" section and you will find one called "Player Cities". It explains it very well.

Mainly you need to become a Novice Politican, place a City Hall (cost approx $300K), find a flat piece of land and 10 citizens within 24hours - or you lose your City Hall.

FIVE other MAJOR indegredients needed are:

+ Lots of money (millions)
+ Master Architect (being or having one)
+ Citizens (recruit like crazy)
+ Political xp (comes from your citizens voting 100x
+ City Ranking (for example you need a city rank of 2 to place a bank)

As a mayor of a city of 73 citizens, I've given a free house, speerder and credits to about 50% of the citizens and our city currently is TAX-FREE by donations to our treasury. Although we are of the Rebel faction, we also cater to the newb who is currently neutral but working to become Rebel and help them get started.

You will only go up the Politician tree with the number of votes/citizens you have (100xp per vote). A city OUTPOST of 10-19 citizens will give a politician 100-190xp each week. The first level of the politician tree is 1000. So, don't be in a hurry.

You may also find some info by searching the "Knowledge Base"

Lastly, Irecommend joining an existing Player City rather than begin a new one from scratch.

Good Luck

Uhm 10 * 100 = 1000

If you have sex with a Gungan politician on Naboo you can make a player city.
