Talked to CSR. The answer is ... interesting. When an account is banned, the character is not deleted. Only the account onwer can delete such a character, but since he is banned ... So, our city can pertty much go on forever, as long as we donat enough cash for maintenance. interesting, eh?

Just asking here to make sure first (our old mayor quit the game, so I can't ask him)...


All civic structures (shuttleport, clone center, gardens, lamps, etc.) are redeeded when you "Destroy" them right? Better to ask and make sure than destroy my shuttleport by accident when I just want to move it.

They redeed, yes.


Just make sure that the confirm box has the name of the thing you are re-deeding, not something nearby. Especially with gardens.

Yeah, I've been reading the bug issues this morning so I know what to look out for. Glad I saw that thing about destroying nearby structures! There's a garden in front of our City Hall that I was thinking of switching out for a smaller one later. I don't think the citizens would appreciate me destroying the hall my first few weeks!

Structures and decoration is in relation to your mayoral skills. You would need to spend some skill points in getting those skills (and you only get EXP from votes)


look into the politician skill tree and it will tell you what skills you need to place those items.


City require three things for placing...


1. the level of the cities (example med center is level 3. shuttleport is level 4)


2. mayor required skills


3. the deed of item (any architect can make them)

Had the bank made last night. Unfortunately you must have Civic Policy 2 to drop a bank !

When I look at my skills available for Civic Policy 2 it only mentions skill trainers.


However, when I tried to place the terminal last night...."Civic Policy II required"


Oh well...I guess Quantico will have to wait until Sunday.

New Hope, Naboo on Kettemoor is in the process of transitioning to a new mayor. However, one council member has heard of a penalty on city structures of 75k per day per city structure if the new mayor does not have the skill to place it. I've been reading the board here and have been unable to see anything in regards to this.


Can someone please confirm this or let me know its just a nasty rumor?

There is no penalty based on the maintenance cost. The new mayor will not be able to place new structures, trainers, or change research designations until they obtain the relevant skill however. Also, if they attempt to make a change, they cannot "undo" it and have it reset to it's previous setting. For example, if your cityhas trainers placedand the new mayor only hasCivic I trained, if they pick up any trainer, it will be gone until they have trained Civic II. There is currently a city on Corbantis that has a new mayor. Said person picked up the clone center, the trainers, and turned off the specialization while "testing" things. The city will be a month or more without most of this stuff because it cannot be replaced until she's got the appropriate training. Needless to say, people are beginning to move elsewhere.


Make sure the new mayor asks before doing anything they don't fully understand.

So, the buildings and things that an old mayor places, will not dissapear if a new and non-mastered major win the elections?.

That is our concern in our city: our Master Major is leaving the game, and we are setting elections, whoever gonna win, is not a skilled major than the actual... are we going to loose all the buildings by the lack of skills?.


As i can see in this post, no... but am i wrong?

Hey Everyone,


Baldur of Bloodfin, Talus, New Haven. I have a question that I am sure you guru's know.... I read a few post about old houses in town.... Is there any way to tell on harvestors who they belong too? I have 10 harvestors that are on fire for the last 60 days and they continue to burn..... I just want to ensure that the person is still around. Any Ideas? It is hampering my cites growth... I filed a ticket but have no response as of yet.... TIA for your helps...
