1. 2 3 2 3
2. No
3. 49
4. No, much to my dismay, I like competition.
5. Since creation
6. Zoning is on, 4 PAs in city, and we welcome anyone who wants to join and is rebel/neutral, just want to keep it organized.
7. Main Character
8. I live in my city, answer questions whenever I am on, and create weapons and architecture for the city. I make little profit each week since I became a mayor. Politician envelopes my other professions.
9. Master Weaponsmith, and I still love doing it to this day, even if I have to find 50 millioin specific resources.
10. No specializations, after reading multiple posts, I have determined that the specializations aren't all that special. Maybe once I can use the two in one specials I might implement one, but they still aren't that special.

Here are my own answers:

1. How far along are yourpolitician skills now? (ex: 2, 3, 4, 1)

I'm now at 4, 4, 2, 4.

2. Have you already sold back any politician skills for skill points? Which skills?

No, but I will have to evaluate that for my own character after I master politician. I think its too bad that most of the specializations don't seem to be worth keeping the skills for. It's certainly a flaw in our profession that as soon as you reach master it becomes so tempting to drop many of the skills.

3. How many citizens does your city have?

Nearly 100.

4. Have you had opponents in your elections, if so, what % of the vote did they get?

Never have had any opponents. Again, lost opportunity here as campaigning is such an integral part of the concept of the politician, but is something that most of us don't experience in-game. I have roleplayed some rivalries and some "political scandals" but no actual opposition.

5. Have you been the mayor of your town since its foundation? If not, were you placed into office in friendly succession or did you oppose and defeat an incumbent mayor?

Yes, I've been mayor since the foundation. We were to have had a three-mayor rotation, but the other two mayor candidates have dropped out after seeing not much to interest them in taking on the role for our city. As the one player probably most interested in the dynamics of city building and civic gameplay, I've stayed in as politician and will take the skill-point bite for my city.

6. Is your city a "private" city, with restricted zoning permission, or public, open to all settlers? If private, is your city run primarily by one PA?

Our city is primarily run by a partnership of two PAs. We have a designed city and turned on restricted zoning after the second week, once everyone was pretty much moved in.

7. Is your politician character considered to be your "main" character? Alternate on another server? Alternate on same server using second account?

Main and only character. I am surprised not to see that more players have used alternates to hold the position to free up skill points for other professions.

8. How many hours per week do you spend playing strictly as a politician, placing structures, giving permission, travelling to train, communicating with citizens via chat or mail regarding city business?

There is always something to do, placement of some new garden or permission to grant. And I serve as a kind of communication source for important city announcements, so I write the "citizen mail" whenever something like the placement of a new facility occurs. Something like ten hours a week on strictly political business, I would guess.

9. What was your primary profession prior to implementation of politician? Did you keep or drop that profession to become a politician?

I'm a Master Doctor, and I dropped some combat medic and pistoleer skills. I also had built up some architect skills, but have dropped those to give myself some flexibility.

10. Is your city currently using any of the specializations?

No. May turn on the stronghold eventually. And I have an open offer to our crafters to turn on any of the crafting related specialties if they request them and think they would be able to make them profitable.
