Where are our player city garages?
Will there be some way to deal with structures left behind by people who have not logged in for 3 weeks? This can cause a city to become land locked with non-citizen structures and no real way to get rid of them until the maintanence runs out.
With the next patch a new grief tactic is now available. A group can join a larger city in need of citizenship to maintain their current level. Once joined the city stops looking for new citizens as they have the needed citizenship. Just before a city update, the group removes themselves from citizenship to allow another city to advance. Is this intended? What is the actual purpose of this feature?
Why is game design feature behind the zero gained skills for master polition?
You realize that people can just drop a home in some random spot and declare residence in that...right? Moving a large group of people into a city only to force the city down to a lower rank by a mass exodus has existed since day 1 people just haven't experienced it yet since, well it's just plain stupid and you can cross serverlotswap to bypass it's affects.

That was before the 3 weeks and you are out problem we have now. Larger cities are going to be desperate for new citizens taking in just about anyone. The smaller cities can now do the lot swap, get the numbers and then 'polute' the larger cities to take them down. The problem is, the buildings are still there taking up space. It is no longer necessary to get up and leave. You can land lock someones city. So even if you are 3rd or 4th in line, you can still take a city down, one by one. I am still not sure why they would put this feature in. It serves no real purpose.
In a city with zoning rights you can not just place a home in a random spot, although many cities look like that is exactly what happened. Sorry, but that isn't a valid point to the problem.
Again, this has existed since day one. Large group A joins a city and drops 30 homes then declare residence. 3 weeks later another city wants to take rank 4 (your present city is just barely in rank 4) so what happens? Well large group A drops 30 homes in the other city and declares residence there becoming citizens of that town.
So now you have 30 empty homes filling space without citizens and the other town has a shot at the rank. The only thing is that now this is taken to a bit of an extreme by having the game do that for you after 6 weeks.
Like it or complain about it but this form of "griefing" has existed for as long as cities have.
I have an off the wall question for him.. Are we going to get a "Satellite" view of our cities or are they going to buy Tiaga's tool and host it for us all? ![]()
1. Will Master Politician ever get more skills? Right now I am a character with 77 skill points spent just so my city can exist, but I can't do anything worthwhile, and RPing mayor is getting old.
2. Is /cityban and the militia going to become useful again? My city is Imperial and overt Rebels can come into the city and spam comments and not much we can do except /cityban and run to a nearby base and go overt. Then run back to town.
3. Faction cities ever? How about making the Mayor useful and making him/her have the abilities of a faction recruiter?
4. Will the theater ever be useful?
5. Would it be possible to know who is paying me property tax? I'd like to be able to look at a house and know who owns it.
6. Will the zoning issues ever be fixed? People travel through my city and disappear/reappear. I see swoop bikes flying through town with nobody on them.
7. Will I be able to manage the militia/citizen's list without the people being online? Sorta like admin on a house?
8. I don't expect to be able to flatten land or make roads or anything anytime soon, but could I possibly stop flora from browing in my city square? We sometimes get bushes as big as tents growing there.
9. Could I get Mayor as a choice fo titles to set?
10. more skills? Will there be anything beyond Politician/Mayor?
- Ability for a Mayor to be allowed to resign
- Something interesting for the Mayor to do (aside from sit around answering /tells and emails)
- Re-enable /cityban or at least introduce a /structureban that bans players from using City facilities
- Add ability to tax missions run from city terminals
- Reduce maintenance costs on city decorations
- Player city garages
- More detailed reporting on moneys coming into the city
- Expand no-build zones around game cities to 2k to encourage players to inhabit player run cities
- Allow Mayors ability to identify ghosts and residents who have left the game
- Enhance the XP's acquired by Mayors from 100 per vote to at least 500 per vote
And that's just off the top of my head.
1) Can I have a day to go around with permission in the SOE office and slap each and everyone of you? twice
2) Can we just abolish the skill points taken to level politician cuz for what its worth I dont think that the SP's are worth it.
3) Starports
4) Garages
5) Industrial society???????????
6) Bazaar
7) Militia? Why?
8) Remote permission to place structures
9) City Chat
10) More indepth city member info and a reader if peoples structures are in danger of getting destroyed.
-Why dont we get bonus' to intellectual attributes?
