How am I supposed to get through to the devs, if the player correspondent doesn't pay attention. Is the top issue supposed to be an easy fix??? I feel that we are wasting a chance at an actual fix if we use our number one spot on an item that is already in game. Here are the instructions, again, on how to mail your citizenry.

1) add them all to your friend list, and remove any non-citizens from the list that you don't want included on your e-mails.

2) highlight the list by clicking on the top person, then hold shift, and scroll down with either the arrow key or the mouse scroll button, click on the last person, this should select all of your friends.

3) Now, click mail. Abracadabra, and I'm not even a dev. All your citizens will be emailed, and a significant chance to get something needed in the game won't be wasted on something that is already in the game.

I VOTE FIX THE MILITIA, believe me I know you've seen my posts

Mayor Rufnik, Warmaster

Or you could just send an email to "Citizens" and it'll do the same thing...

Great work Bajeezus

Being a Mayor and our guilds webmaster I understand the 'extra' hard work you are putting into our profession. I somethimes hasitate in opening the Politician thread fearing that you will post a "It's been fun, it's been great but this position has become overwhelming so I must step down so I can enjoy SWG".

It was neat to see some feedback from TH.

Compared to EQ and UO, SWG is by far more stable and enjoyable! Little quirks here and there but overall very stable.

I hope to see Senator or something similar in the future as a Elite profession to Politician.

A Politician always ...

Respectfully,

Mayor Dakk

Thanks Bajeezus, but if they dont realize that we are wasting $15 a month as politicians,in order to add content to the gane (which is THEIR responsibility, NOT OURS), it's pretty much a lost cause. It would be so simple to add faction affiliation to a city (I.E. stormtroopers/rebel troopers patrolling respective cities.) Garages would also be an easy thing to add. This isnt something that should have to wait for a patch. A hot-fix would do it.

Since we have a limited amount of skill points, and more than 60 of them are tied up in a profession that benefits everyone but the person sacrificing them, perhaps they should lower the politician skill point requirements so that we can explore different professions. Politicians are not like other professions, we cant just dump our whole profession without MANY others suffering for our doing so. The real problem is piss poor planning. Developing a profession that has NO benefit to the actual user, is RETARTED. Think about it......

DaQuilla, Ive created multiple groups and tried to sort by group...However, the problem I keep getting is that when I have 40 people with information in the group field the darn thing keeps deleting....Not sure if any one else has this problem..

The Citizen and Guild mail gave me the work around ...still would be nice to create groups to more then 40 people in my friends list.

Yes, that's right. My friendlist is also constantly deleting the remarks and groups :/

I now use an Excel file where I have entered all my citizens houses, owners, waypoints, if they've paid certain fees we have, what their business is, if they are in tha militia etc.

I can sort this list, copy the names and pretty quickly generate a "to:" mailgroup (Citizen01;Citzens05;Citizen14;... and copy & paste it into the game. Of course it would be nice if I could manage all those informations ingame as well, but this way I can also send it to my council members etc.

One more small update, from my side, not the devs or TH. If you have a character on Test Center, you can see that there is still nothing in the Master Politician skill box. I've asked for at least a comment on this from the devs, if not a re-implementation of the multi-specialization abilities that were there previously. I have never heard why those were removed after being in testing, and perhaps we can get either an explanation or see those placed back into the Master Politician box until the devs get around to giving Politicians a bigger sweep as they have done with chef, for example.

I hope that is the case, that it was removed accidently, because in that case, I'd expect to see it hot-fixed back into the game or at least implemented in the next update.

Well, as TH (and other devs) said ... Hot-Fixes are only preserved for real gamebreaking bugs and exploits ... everything else is put into a list of "things to do" with a priority ... and I just suspect that the specialisations from the master box have a similar priority as the text-errors in the load screens have ... seriously ... because there is a fairly small amount of politicians ingame, non the less master politicians ... and those specs wheren't worth anything anyway *sarcastic-grin*

PS ... I just love editing

Man, I need to become a correspondant or something. Is there any particular reason they don't allow everyone else to edit? It seems like such a simple, standard features.

I just sent a PM to the GreenMarine who a couple weeks ago told me that the skills in the master box would be fixed in this next publish.I think he is doing all the chef stuff these days and maybe he forgot and just needs a reminder to turn those back on

Edit: Holy crap - this rocks

Like eltucco, our city is hitting the same problem. The mayor dropped his subscription but is still Mayor by 6 votes. We are trying to get it changed but we don't see everyone at the same time.

What priority is it on dropping players not in the game from political races? I'd accept a one-week delay for purposes of accidental droppage (credit card expiring, etc) but we're on two, our cloning center needs repair and we want to revamp the city map and so on.

Baj, at the risk of appearing impatient, its been over three weeks since you submitted our top five. Isn't there some way we might get something more in the way of a response? We worked hard and rushed to meet theirdeadline and provide them with the input from this forum. I knew we would have to wait, and I am aware there are other professions waiting for responses as well, but I would have to say I expected more responsiveness fromthe devsgiven the urgency with which they asked for this information from us.
