Thread: Now that you've played Devils Advocate, Plinka....
I admit I'm thinking along the same lines . .. we are a small city, only just about to hit village next update. I have to request that our citizens vote against placing a cloning center in our town now to prevent griefing.
We were told all along that we could police our cities and build communities . . . now in order to build communities we have to withold what is given to us to use, almost. It's sad.

Force remove cities from POI areas.
Do not allow people with citywarn TEF to clone in the city they were warned in.
Allow cities to declare for a faction. Do not allow placement of faction deeds unless city is declared.
Do not allow opposing faction to clone in factioned cities. (So they can't be griefed with scanners and other things)

You don't need to do this, and they won't anyway. Besides which, they could add new POI's in the future.
Just disable /citywarn and /cityban for any city whose radius engulfs a POI.
No, allow /cityban in POI towns . . . that just disallows the use of the facilities, and allows a non-griefing tool to those who choose not to have the /citywarn command to protect their town slightly. So people have to run from the NPC cloning facility, big deal. They did before anyways, and you can cross a planet in ten minutes with a vehicle now.
