that should be interesting, since the response I got from devs was completely different...
take that with a grain of salt. I'll post the official response about this bug when I get itin the mean time, set it to however much extra you want your merchants to get
I opend a ticket and the CSR looked in all the logs. Confirmed property and inclme taxes were going in. He also confirmed from looking at the vendor transaction logs for the city that sales tax was NOT being sent to the treasury.
yeah, I figured as much from all the forum posts about them, although I haven't been given permission to say much, and haven't been told what's gonna happen. the bug is acknowledged, and I post as soon as I get my info. in the mean time, you might want to contact your merchants about your treasury situation and work out a temporary solution

The short fall I saw which would probably be an indicator when this was induced was right after publish 9

city of Dohrian on Talus in Gorath confirmed last night that it infact was not collecting any sales tax.
We have since removed this tax.
Please keep on them to fix this cause we just lose more and more money each week

It looks like our city has been hit by the bug this week. I'll be sending an email to help track this thing down.
Guess I'll set tax to 0% for a while, that should make some people happy...
As an addendum, would filing an in-game CSR report help resolve this issue? Sales tax is kind of the cornerstone of our treasury.

We recently turned off the taxes since we read about this post, so I can't say whether or not its "fixed" (you would know better than I) - thanks for the info and hope they actually fix this before the expansion AFTER JTL....

no sales tax and the other thing is the shuttle tax resets daily. I got a lovely response from a csr saying thank you for making us aware of this problem. When I tried to respond with something likeAND WHAT ARE YOU DOING ABOUT IT! The add comment key was unavailable.........should have phrased the question more like this:
My JEDI's are very upset that the taxes are not going into the city treasury, so mycity's JEDI asked if I could contact a CSR and ask why. I have to report back to the JEDI what has transpired here and what your reply was. Please help me make my city's JEDI happy.
Think that might have gotten a better response???
