Thread: I still want a Mayor title.
I hope they don't use the same coding as TEFs otherwise re-election is gonna be a really tough thing to endure.

That really would help in recruiting I think......and some city events...lol
I hope we can get this.
And I think it should be a variable - you can choose your title from a set list, such as:
Mayor
Governor
Lord/Lady
Baron/Baroness
etc.

, would help out our citizens no-endI am coming back to this thread again.... A friend and me started our first city a month ago...no politician skills, just doing it the hard way with our friends to start.
Well, after four months we had grown to rank II and realized we where just four shy of Rank III. We are doing our town for fun and as a social/gathering hub so we are really huge on making it big overnight. But being so close to Rank III, well, it was time to get citizens.
FIRST thing I run into that upsets me is, a person who I have seen around the city running missions comes up to me the other day. They want to know whom do they talk to get in the city. Well, I'm the mayor, I can help them...they continue to talk to me and say that they have been curious who I was since they see me around all the time.
What irks me to no end is this person, be it a bit shy and new person to the game couldn't figure out who the mayor was and wanted into the city for a while. Sure they can look on the voting terminal or what not but some don't realize they are there. Heck, just running around town and talking to people as I do every night would probably hold tens time more weight if I had that dang Mayor tag above my head. Some people will stop in talk if they know you’re the mayor but others just assume you’re someone looking to group for missions or ask for something they don't have ... they would rather just ignore you.
And finally, when we do go out to get citizens in the big cities ... don't you think someone running around with the title Mayor would have more impact than Novice Politician or some such nonesense? People look at those titles and as much as I'd love for them to scroll pages down in my bio past all my badges to read that I am the mayor not many are going to take the time to do that ... come on ... this isn't a hard topic or idea to grasp here!
The idea that I have to watch over a city full of people, run around trying to keep the incredibly priced city paid up, answering questions and explaining game function or worrying about how the layout should go and then realize that a huge portion of my skill points are wasted on a profession that I can't even control my own town (evict those who are causing problems for example) that I have put so much love and devotion into ... sure that little title above your head "Mayor" wouldn't solve any of that but it makes a statement and shows that this single one person is devoted to their skill and to the cause they have created. It does give others hope and it gives those who get that title a feeling of pride when things just are bleak.
There.... Going off my soapbox now and returning to my duties.
